Fantastic location. It’s very quiet and away from almost everything especially the crowds that frequent other parts of the island. This beautiful, spacious adults-only hotel is superb and offers a completely different 'Tenerife experience' from what I expected. Bedroom - almost the size of a flat, with two almost double beds put together so no lack of space. There was also a walk-in wardrobe room, which meant we could store our clothes as at home and not putting everything into drawers or on to shelves. There is also a free electronic safe (some hotels – in Spain at least - try to charge for their use, and often require you to use a physical key). Both of these things made us feel less cluttered and more relaxed. Bathroom - great shower, and a bath (which we didn't use) but it was a nice touch. Great balcony with a table, two chairs and view across the solarium area and out to the Atlantic. Restaurant - very good selection of food for both breakfast and dinner buffets. It isn’t possible to change dinner for lunch on a half-board stay. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly, professional and accommodating, and we had a little pre-dinner wine and cheese tasting session one evening from local producers. One bad thing was the invasive Mariachi band which appeared one evening – more a Playa de las Américas or Costa del Sol than a 5-Star, super-chilled hotel… Pool area - superb. Great pools and very clean areas for sun-loungers. The guy(s) exchanging room cards for towels can be a little elusive at times, but the system is very honest. If there isn’t anyone there, leave your cards, take the appropriate number of towels and enjoy the pool. The same works at the end of your pool session – simply return the towels and take the appropriate number of cards in return. The bar is nice but a bit expensive at €4 for a pint or half litre of beer. You can't buy tobacco products at the hotel. However, we were told to leave the building, turn left and walk up a little stone path to the right for 200m where we could find bar Burga2 which has a machine. You can buy cigarettes between about 12.00-21.00 (although the bar’s closing time often depends on the number of punters – more people there and not wishing to leave = later opening) and it's a great place to have lunch as there are not really many places close to the hotel in which to have that are easily accessible on foot places to have lunch close by, although it is closed on Tuesdays. Special mentions to: Jorge, the young guy on work experience who was super-friendly and super-helpful especially after my shaving accident and Beatríz at the Atlántico for her attentive and friendly persona. Negatives: Somewhat patronising treatment by Jorge (bearded one) about not being able to do any hotel-organised excursions, as 'people come here to relax' or else they 'hire a car'. We don't drive and there were so many things we wanted to do. This led to a less than ideal introduction, but there is the Cardón agency next to the hotel, which he failed to tell us about and which was EXCELLENT. We booked two excursions through them and they were easy to organise (relatively) inexpensive and the employees in the office were super-helpful. Also, and I don’t know if this was our fault or not, because when you arrive at a hotel you’re generally given a lot of information at once which doesn’t make sense as you at that time, but I don’t think we were told about the wonderful, admittedly salt-water pool called Atlántico which is part of the hotel and golf course complex. We don’t remember being told, anyway, so when we went for a walk on our first full day after arrival and came across it, it looked great, but the ‘Club Privado’ or ‘Private Club’ meant we didn’t investigate further until a couple of days later. To get to the Atlántico from the hotel, you can get a minivan transport from reception to the golf course. Once there you can request a golf buggy and driver to take you to the end of the course and walk about 150m and you’re there. It’s well worth it! To return, ask at the pool bar to call ahead for a buggy which will meet you where you were dropped off earlier and take you back to the golf club entrance. From there you can either get a waiting minivan back to the hotel, or the club reception desk will call one for you. So easy and enjoyable, we did this three times!

My husband and I stayed here after spending time on Adeje coast. It was a very tranquil resort and quite the change from Adeje which was nice (for a couple of Days). Absolutely beautiful setting with the affinity pool overlooking the ocean. They had an additional pool off the rocks overlooking the coast. We did not opt for the level and the standard room was just fine. Food: i was scared at first based on previous reviews. I’m not a buffet fan and anyone expecting great quality on any buffet is out of touch with reality. Mass produced food can’t compare to a la carte. Having said that, the breakfast buffet was excellent. You can’t ask for any more! We tried the dinner buffet once and it was good. It had a big variety and none of the filler foods (pizza, burgers, nachos, fried food) that you typically see in buffets. So again good for a buffet. We tried Salazar for some a la carte food and it was really good. We had the spider crab mussel lasagna appetizer (different...), the dornada fish dish and the steak as shown in the picture. Our entrees were excellent. We ordered medium rare for the steak and it was closer to rare but still very good. We had the passion fruit confit terrine for dessert. Excellent. Advice to the hotel and further notes: Gym: good size with one elliptical, treadmill, weight machine and a couple of benches and Matts. Super hot with no air on though and no weights above 5kg. I would include heavier weights and some Air! Salazar: we wanted to try the tasting menu but we were told unless you have a black card then we can’t. I don’t get it. The restaurant was not busy at all and so open it up to all customers for more business! Activities: Golf: amazing! Other: not much to do this is a very ZEN resort. The hotel offers one activity a day. For me after the third day I was bored while my husband golfed. The town does not offer much either for entertainment. I would include more activities (other than spa) or at least provide excursion suggestions at the front lobby. At night there was tranquil Spanish music playing on the upper patio for a drink. Food: be aware! No early dinners! Even in town. All places open for dinner at 7 which is very late for us. I would suggest opening buffet and/or Salazar at 6. I know there was lunch options at the pool bar but none were really appealing for dinner. We had dinner at a local restaurant at Cruz de Toledo which was excellent. Very busy but they close between lunch and dinner. We walked the coastal walk around the golf course. Excellent and breathtaking views! Bring good walking shoes for the stone path.

Great hotel in a silent area of the island, lovely staff, great view. Breakfast was nice, the style of the hotel special. It´s ideal to calm down and have some real time off. We will gladly come back soon.
