Excellent holiday for families.

We booked this late on but were certainly not disappointed.
The Animation Team were truly exceptional, Javier, Andrei, Danny & Malvina made our children feel very welcome and special , they certainly went the extra mile to be sure that they enjoyed all the activities. The Medal/Diploma system worked very well.
The hotel staff both in the restaurant and bar were kind and cared, and the food was very good and a large selection. At checkin we were welcomed and reassured that our room would suit, and it did, we had a great location on the ground floor which meant we had our own sun loungers on an extended terrace. The modern accommodation gave us lots of space.
The facilities at the Children’s Splash area were great, as it was October the hotel was not too busy and sometimes we had the area to ourselves, we were very lucky that the weather was perfect, low/mid 20’s all week.
There were couples at this hotel and there was a quieter pool area which worked well, so this hotel would be good for all groups.
We chose the All Inclusive option which worked brilliantly and I would say no one at the hotel seemed to take advantage, no bad or noisy behaviour.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and will consider another visit with other family members, we were 3 generations and there was definitely something for everyone.
Quiet, clean, very nice indeed!

My partner and I went to Mar Paradise for 4 nights Sunday 13th to Thursday 17th October on an all inclusive basis.
Transfer from the airport was about an hour. Our room wasn’t quite ready so had our AI wrist band, had lunch then given the room card.
We reckon the hotel was maybe 1/4 full eg 100 guests with about half having kids (out of school). 80% British (Manchester, Scotland, London) plus various other nationalities.
We were lucky enough to get apartment 204, a superb apartment. It looked out west (so got the evening sun) over the pool. It was about 20 meters from everything (the rooms below had a decking extension to the front with sunbeds so you could effectively spend the week within a 50 meter radius). The room was actually a 40m2 apartment which looked to have been refurbished that year (the rooms furthest away from the main reception/dining room/pools were shut down, and did not looked refurbished eg balconies were blue metal not glass). Apartment entry was by card. To the right was a bedroom looking out the back (quiet, unless you had noisy neighbours as we did one night) with flat screen tv (including BBC1, BBC2, ITV, C4, CBeebies), USB points, pine wardrobe with plenty of space and a safe. To the left was the bathroom area: sink, shower, toilet, hairdryer. All crisp and clean, modern and big. You passed some more wardrobe space (including an iron and small ironing board) and the air conditioning control, to get to the front of the apartment. This was a large main living room on the right (flat screen tv, phone, sofa bed, modern lights) and a large kitchen area on the left (breakfast bar + stools, sink, fridge + small freezer, kettle, microwave). Through to the glass walled balcony. Power was on all the time, no need to leave a card in.
The main restaurant had plenty of seating (as the hotel was ¼ full), and always some outside. Food was the usual fayre and pretty OK (I’ve been to better, and worse). So… warm meals and the live-cook-chef on the left, cheeses and salads front left, desserts front right, self serve drinks right. I cant imagine how they would have coped with more guests but presumable expand and more staff. My biggest criticism is that the warm meals were warm not hot. The best thing was the fresh orange juice machine at breakfast – 10 out of 10 for that. Different themes eg Menorca, Chinese
Next to the restaurant was a snack bar – open until 6. The first couple of days had snacks in fridge and warmers (chips, burgers, nuggets, ice creams, sandwiches, salads) and then it was more limited but you could order food if required. Plenty of branded drinks and cocktails on AI eg Gordon’s, Tanqueray, Negroni.
The pool was nice and the sunbeds were very nice (maybe some tables wouldn’t go a miss and no pool showers?). Again, as the hotel wasn’t full, there were always beds and no towel reserving.
You could hire pool towels for 10 euro returnable deposit. Safe was also returnable deposit. Wifi was fairly good throughout the complex. Tourist tax = 3.3 euros per person per night
There was a fairly impressive ‘splash’ area I would say for younger kids not teens with slides etc. And a tennis court, table tennis, billiards. The animation team ran various activities eg shuttle board seemed very popular. Had a quick look but didn’t use the spa (indoor pool, gym and massages, sauna apparently)
Staff were great and friendly and helpful, always. The place was literally spotless.
The main bar and stage had a mini disco every night (8:30-9) and then entertainment (quiz nights, acrobats). Again hotel not full so lots of seats and no queues.
The hotel had an air of shutting down soon – which was good in many ways (lots of room, no queues etc) but also a bit odd (quiet, we’ve never gone this late)
The Cala en Bosc marina and beach were 250m and 650m away (5-10 mins walk) through shops, bars, supermarkets, restaurants, car/boat hire etc. Pharmacy over the road from hotel. Loads of ATMs for some reason. Burger king. Beach looked clean, shallow and safe - though not massive so I expect it’s quite busy in summer. One beach bar. Lots of nice walks around the rocky headlands. When we were there, many of the hotels and restaurant had shut down (eerie closed hotels). So not the time of year/place to go if you want the hustle and bustle or night life.
There was a regular bus (every hour minimum) from outside the hotel which for 2 euros took you to Ciutadella in maybe 20 minutes. Not loads to do there but we probably didn’t do it justice – but a nice place and worth a visit, eg the harbor/river, old town pedestrian narrow streets and shops and churches, restaurants and bars etc.
So to summarize… no big complaints, very quiet this time of year and very nice hotel, so I would recommend for a nice peaceful holiday
