Protur Playa Cala Millor

Consistently reported to be one of the top hotels in Cala Millor and long may that continue. The hotel meets the high standards it sets itself but with some small draw backs that could be corrected if management really wanted to. They obviously like things the way they are, we pay good money to stay there year on year, no brainer really. Sunbeds are an major issue for those who base their holidays on spending all day sunbathing and sleeping on the poolside but that's not what we go on holiday for. If you fit that profile, keep fighting for that special spot as you will have to do it again next year, as you would in most hotels the world over. The walks over the headland and to places beyond are a joy. Very picturesque and peaceful. Recommended. Walking the promenade to Cala Bono you do at your own risk as it is very, very hazardous. Bikes, family pedal buggies, souped up scooters, kids in hired, speedy, motorised "cars" claim it as their own. They have a cycle path marked out but spend much of their time outwith this and enjoy ducking and diving among pedestrians who are unacceptably close. How there are not more accidents I will never know. What I do know is that the local authorities turn a blind eye to it all. Please be careful walking down there and get good holiday insurance as I'm sure they are not insured to drive these things! When the weather is inclement entertainment in the hotel takes place in the bar area. Space is limited there and the noise is deafening, especially when the rock bands are in town - which seems to be quite often. When outside it is fine. We had a very good holiday again and if the promenade is made safe will certainly go back. Well done to the hotel! Hope to see you all again.

Been to this hotel 5 visits now and it is still as good as our first visit. Most of the staff are the same each year which, in my opinion, shows what a good management team they have. The rooms are very comfortable, especially the sea view rooms. The side sea view/pool view are just as comfortable but a little smaller and they don't have much storage space, just one fault there could be some shelves in the wardrobe which would help with storage but saying that we managed ok. One of the things the management should adhere to is the reserving of sunbeds. It states in the information that towels will be removed if reserved before 10 o'clock but they never are. It's just a small thing but nevertheless its does spoil things for other holidaymakers who want a sunbed but they have towels on with no one on them. This I'd the only reason I haven't given it 5 stars, it certainly deserves 5 stars and if this problem is sorted it would get them. I would recommend this hotel, in fact we cant wait to go back next year and have already booked. We usually go the beginning of june and then again at the beginning of September. Both times the weather has been good. Well done Protour Playa Cala Millor.

This was the second week of a two centre holiday with Tui and having had a busy first week it was ideal for simply relaxing, reading and enjoying the great food and entertainment in the evening. A very friendly hotel with staff who genuinely care for their guests.
