The Seaside Los Jameos Playa Hotel is a cut above, offering tropical-look pools and a buffet restaurant that TripAdvisor reviewers rave about.
The Seaside Los Jameos Playa Hotel is a stone’s throw away from the sandy beach. The harbour town of Puerto del Carmen is a few minutes’ drive along the coast.
Local artist and architect César Manrique inspired the hotel’s palm gardens and cavernous, lantern-lit lobby.

Fabulous hotel and staff!!
My return visit from last year, the staff here make you feel special. Once you order a drink another appears once you finish the first! They remember you from the previous day. Great check out as all inclusive stops at 5pm so sensible from other hotels. Taxi arrive instantly, rooms are lovely and beds so comfy. The beach is on the doorstep. Entertainment is quality. Each time we have stayed the other guest seem friendly and happy, probably due to the way the hotel treats guests. The piano bar has many talented guests. More

review for people who usually go small and friendly b&b
1st trip to Lanzarote and first time half board. We favour the laid back bed and breakfast small hotels on the Greek islands so due to having to travel later in the year decided to choose this holiday. The reception was lovely upon arrival and reception staff very professional. Cava offered whilst waiting for bell boy to take us to our rooms however decided to make our own way after waiting a while. We were totally lost once we entered the dark rabbit warren of corridors. Found our room eventually after using the cleaners lift (couldn't find the guest lift). The room on first impression was tired with grubby furniture with stained curtains. The balcony was well in need of a paint job. We were very disappointed. We were traveling for our 29 th wedding anniversary and had requested a high floor pool/sea romantic view cat b+ We over looked the children's pool with sunbeds crammed together with no room in between. How romantic! I got a bit upset because I thought every time I looked out I would be reminded of the reason I never book this type of holiday. Typical holiday rat race. We moved rooms and were given a nice sea view at the back of the hotel, thank goodness, the room was also a better quality. Newer furniture and cleaner curtains. The balcony had been recently painted. Sad to think we could have been given this room in the 1st place. We went for evening meal and had a lovely table set for our celebration (emailed the hotel as they advertise) meals are very busy at all times and tables very close together. Sometimes you feel you are eating with other guests. The staff are manic running around resetting tables and there is no relaxing meal over a bottle of wine here. To be honest they work relentlessly but again you are reminded you are in the holiday rat race. There is a big choice of food which was good. All cooked well. Always hot. Breakfast was by the end of the week a chore! Noisy and clostophobic. Sadly too many people smoking around the eating area. We only managed to get a sunbed around the clock tower because I refuse to put a towel on a bed at 8am. Lots of towels left on beds all day not used. The staff did put notes on occasionally. This bathing area was in good need of a brush and hose down in this area however. The beach outside left of the hotel had clean beds €12 daily so we opted for this. More open space. my son and his girlfriend had arrived a few days before us and advised us not to bother going into the resort said it was tacky. We did go one night and it was awful. All we wanted was a lovely bar with a bit of ambiance with local charm but no chance. Plenty of Irish bars and egg chips and beans cafeteria type restaurants. We were advised to get a taxi to peurto caleta harbour which was a big improvement and glad we went €12 each way. We enjoyed one night on the balcony in the piano bar. Sadly didn't go in the next night because the piano was being drowned out by a karaoke version of titanic theme tune sung by a group of tipsy women (to be polite) we sat around the pool other nights because the entertainment was indoors! We like to be alfresco, and outdoors in the warm weather. The pool bar favoured the all inclusive guests and clean tables were few and far between as the bar staff disappeared early. This was a bizzare hotel good in some areas bad in others! Yet so many return guests. We Returned home and straight onto the website planning my next holiday to small and friendly bed and breakfast hotel in Kefalonia. Sunsets relaxation and clean resorts.More
This really is a very good hotel. We stayed last year and decided that we would stay again. It is really difficult to find fault with anything. Our room was spacious, well equipped and we had an excellent sea view. The staff in the hotel from management through to the cleaning and maintenance staff are always polite and very efficient. The waiting staff in the bars and restaurant are fantastic. The grounds and pools are really well kept and it is interesting to see that a lot of the plants in the grounds are labelled to identify them and their country of origin. The food offering is brilliant with the desserts often being the stars of the show, some of which were truly outstanding.More
