Don’t be fooled by Ibiza’s party reputation. The island has plenty of quiet spots for laid-back breaks and tonnes of child-friendly ones, too. Figueretas, just 15-minutes from the cobbled streets of Ibiza Town, is one of these spots. While it’s walking distance from the island’s capital, you’ll find plenty of peace and quiet at this family-friendly resort. The palm tree-lined beach is the perfect place to take the kids, with activities like clown schools and martial arts taking place on the promenade. And, in the evenings, craft stalls set up selling trinkets and souvenirs.

Ibiza is one of the world’s biggest clubbing hotspots. So, if beach bars and all-night parties are your style, there are plenty of places to tick off. Head for the Sunset Strip in San Antonio, named for its impressive sunset views and its clutch of waterfront bars and restaurants. Or, make for Playa d’en Bossa and Ibiza Town on the east coast, where you’ll find another selection of beach clubs and dancing spots. Both coasts boast nightclubs famous around the world, including Pacha, Amnesia, and Ibiza Rocks, so wherever you go, you won’t be disappointed. And, as it’s just a half-an-hour car journey between the two coasts, why not visit both?

Es Cana, or Es Canar in Catalan, is home to Ibiza’s famous hippie markets. Dating back to the 1960s, you’ll find several across the island, with each offering something different. Some have local handicrafts and souvenirs, while others sell brightly-coloured kaftans, jewellery from around the world, and incense. The biggest market, the Punta Arabí Hippie Market, takes place every Wednesday in Es Cana. Once you’ve got your fill of culture, head 10 minutes’ along the coast to San Eulalia, where there are art galleries and museums to explore. It’s also Ibiza’s best food spot, so make sure to visit a restaurant or two while you’re there.

Cala Llonga is home to one of the biggest beaches in Ibiza. It’s one of the prettiest, too, tucked into a cove surrounded by trees. There’s plenty of space to stretch out, with shallow waters perfect for paddling, and a playground on the sand for kids. There’s also a market selling trinkets and accessories on the promenade in the summer, plus you can head out onto the water on pedalos or try some beach volleyball.
