Costa Canaria Hotel

3rd year here in December. Enjoyable as usual, very clean, plenty of drawer space in rooms and comfy beds. Dining room lovely, not the canteen like facility we’ve seen in other hotels, and food of a good standard in general. Waiting staff very pleasant and efficient, Raisa (hope I got her name right) was really nice. On only one evening our unsmiling waitress was hovering to whip plates from under people’s noses and tagging your bottle of wine without you asking! Spa spacious, and great facilities for free. One off putting note for us this time was that the people who normally get up at dawn to put towels on sun beds cannot do this here, so instead they will be waiting at the dining room door before opening to ensure prime seating! We even saw one lady open the door herself and wander in! If you went down even half an hour later you would not get a booth seat up front or an outside seat. This is a pity as the hotel itself is excellent, and there is nothing they can do about me-first people. Also a mention for the two animation ladies, on the go from morning till night.

Our third year at this hotel over the Christmas period, and as before it was a great stay. Food is always plentiful, we find that the buffet lunches have better selection most days than the evening meal. The only gripe is not enough vegetarian options, just putting vegetables on some nights is not a main meal, luckily my wife likes fish so had the veg to accompany the fish. The weather as usual was brilliant, just one cloudy afternoon (and the clouds only came at 4pm). This was the first year we took a public bus ride (the bus stop is only a few hundred yards from the front door) and went to Maspolamas, we got off and walked through the dunes and back along the front for about 7 miles. Thanks to the hard working animation team of Lucy and Joya for putting on the daily events. We are already planning next years trip back here over the Xmas holiday.

Wonderful week at the Bull Costa Canaria. Room was clean and comfortable and with the sea view we requested. Food is very good with an excellent selection and lots of dishes are labelled e.g. gluten or milk free etc. My sister is well travelled and declared the entertainment in the evening to be of a high standard - we enjoyed it a lot. A stroll through the garden area brings you to a gate leading directly onto the promenade and beach - excellent for a stroll and some sea air. Opposite reception is a gift shop and through the car park adjacent to the shop and across the next road is a well stocked Hiperdino. We both enjoyed the spa facilities particularly the salt cabin and indoor pool with it's various hydro jets. Lunch is available at the pool bar if you don't want to use the dining room and the menu here is very good. Would suggest taking a kettle (you can get milk etc from the shop) - a bottle of water is left in the room daily and housekeeping does a great job of keeping rooms clean and tidy and changing towels daily if it is needed. Would definitely go there again - lovely week and very relaxing. All the staff are friendly and very accomodating.
