    Good hotel but....

    No problem with the hotel, but we made the mistake of booking a taxi from the airport through the Cordial website via the booking confirmation email which says ‘book transfers with us in three easy steps - faster, easier and more efficient’. Despite landing on time there was no taxi to meet us and when we phoned the contact number from the airport we were told they could not provide us with a service and advised to get an airport taxi. The hotel reception/management disclaimed any responsibility and we were told that the taxis are provided by a third party, which is not mentioned in the booking process. The booking was clearly being made with Cordial. We have phoned and emailed the various phone/email contacts provided but with no direct response. This was now 13 working days after the no show. We are out of pocket 70 euros which were paid up front. Obviously we are very disappointed and frustrated with Cordial and advise others to excise caution. The hotel was good, the grounds are glorious, though the supposed ban on putting early morning towels on the sun loungers is totally ignored. Again the hotel management declined any responsibility. You get the picture. It would be nice if, even now, Cordial took some responsibility and refunded our money. Please.

    We have been visiting Mogan for many years now and the cordial Mogan playa never disappoints. Staff, service and facilities are all excellent. Our superior room was lovely with extra touches like slippers, robes and sun loungers on our large balcony. We will definitely be back and I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough!

    The cordial is one of the best the staff from the moment you walk in are brilliant the suites are like a home from home food great plenty of sun beds and the gardens are fantastic just to walk round but it is the staff what makes this hotel stand out many thanks for looking after us we will definitely return again Neil
    Such a fabulous holiday

    Our experience at the hotel was outstanding from the moment we walked in, so much so that we had just one day out, and our hire car spent much of the time in the parking garage. Our only issue was arriving in the dark we found it hard to locate our room - until a member of staff stepped in and took us to the door. We had a junior suite, great location, moments from the restaurant and pool, yet still quiet. Ours had a lovely outside space and was beautifully maintained. From the back door, it is an easy stroll down to Puerto de Mogan and the great selection of resaurants. The hotel is huge, yet never seemd that busy (and it was half term), often we had the end of the pool to ourselves. Plenty of sunbeds, lovely towels and cushions provided. Aqua gym was fun and helped work off some of the breakfast buffet! The spa was fabulous, and our daughter was able to have her first treatment, a massage alongside mine, which at the age of 12 she loved. The gardens are beautiful, and everywhere is spotless. On our last day, our late flight meant we had access to a free courtesy room, which meant we could enjoy the pool and sunshine for a few more hours after we had checked out. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

    Cordial playa Mogan is a lovely hotel with beautiful, extensive gardens throughout Its large complex. It has 2 main pools, one for relaxation and the other where a few daytime activities take place. There is easy access throughout the hotel, but for a more adventurous walk there is an archeological trail which runs alongside the mountain and brings you out in the harbour area. The town/beach/harbour is generally a 5-10 minute walk and is lovely for shops and bars etc. Reception was the most friendly check in I have experienced (Sarah) All staff are friendly and attentive, although some bar service was a little slow and drinks a little expensive. Bar closes at 11pm. Buffet restaurant food is good quality with plenty of choice and a carvery. The poolside lunch restaurant food was good with great friendly service for lunch and coffee during the day. Evening entertainment is mainly good quality and professional. It was also a nice touch that they didn’t shut down WiFi at time of check out like many hotels do, thus enabling us to keep track of our flight etc. We were also given access to all facilities until our pick up time. All in all a most enjoyable, beautiful and relaxing place to visit in a great location, we look forward to returning soon
