This high-end hotel has a pair of pools tucked among its pristine gardens. And it’s right on the seafront, too.
The property is set among vast gardens and ocean-view terraces. Style-wise, the hotel has just had a makeover, so everything's really contemporary. Bedrooms, for instance, are done out top-to-toe in cool grey.
In terms of location, it’s in a good spot with direct access to a car-free promenade and Maspalomas beach only a 12-minute walk away.

Peace and quiet
Don't stay here if you are looking for night life as most of the customers here have come for a quiet relaxing holiday hence the upper age range with very few children as they are not catered for in terms of on site amenities--we were surprised that the hotel was not adult only. Across the whole hotel we found every thing acceptable including room and food plus not having to race for a sun bed every morning as there are plenty .Staff are well trained to carry out their respective roles especially Molina on reception who was most helpful in aspiring to a couple of requests. It is not difficult to see why a high percentage of guests have stayed before which is always a good sign as it will be for us to--its all about standards in all departments and this hotel delivered on our visit.More
Nice place to relax
This is the second time that we have stayed here. The hotel is modern and well equipped and for those of you that can’t switch off from the outside world, Wi-fi is included. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with everything you’d expect. The staff are nice and friendly as you’d expect and the room service is also what you would expect from a hotel with 5*. The selection of food in the restaurant caters for most however, the service levels are disappointing when compared to the rest of the hotel. It’s good; but not great, with some staff being more attentive and friendly than others. Facilities for children are limited, which suits us fine as you can relax without the noise that comes with hotels that are more ‘child friendly’. A nice place to relax and unwind!More

Its a winner - we'll return!
Just returned from a relaxing week at this hotel between 28 September to 5 October 2017 and will probably return. The hotel was very clean with an excellent variety of food for breakfast and dinner, staff were extremely friendly. The bedroom was large with very comfortable beds, a large bathroom with an excellent shower. I don't think it is a hotel for families with young or teenage children as there was no entertainment for them. Inflatables and balls are not allowed in the pools. Very minor observations are: 1) As with most hotels, a "dawn patrol" was present with residents reserving sunbeds. 2) As a non smoker it was impossible to sunbathe without lying next to someone who was. (I appreciate this is a contentious comment but I believe it is worth noting - there are five large pools so one or two could be used for non smokers). 3) The evening entertainment left a bit to be desired - the resident group was poor although there were additional acts who were generally good.More

Second tripped booked
When I read the reviews on this hotel I saw people had been 3,4 and even 5 times! Now I've been I can see why. What a beautiful stunning hotel. The maids come twice a day and they do a fantastic job. The food is fresh and a great variety. The grounds are like paradise and the work that goes into keeping them looking great is incredible. Well deserving of their 5* and I cannot wait to go back again. By far the best hotel we have ever stayed in. On our arrival there was a little meat and cheese buffet waiting in our room as we arrived late which was a great touch. Everyone was so friendly and they really can't do enough for you. My experience of the Riu Palace was a fantastic one. If your thinking of booking, stop thinking and JUST BOOK, you won't find better than this for your money. Great location, great food, great pools, great views, everything is just great!!!!!! Thank You Riu Palace, keep up the good work, you are amazing and we will see you soon! 😁 More
Great Hotel with very good service and excellent food. The maid who cleaned our room deserves extra credit as the room was spotless. I can only fault one thing and that was the service at the Blue de Mar Pool Bar where we were ignored and went to the bar ourselves to get served. Everything else was great and we will be going back.More
