ROBINSON Club Esquinzo Playa

Some serious issues here but I'll endeavour to be fair and balanced. This is a beautiful resort with fabulous food, grounds, and views of the sea. Most of the staff are also very pleasant. 95% of the guests are German and friendly groups of people; our problem was a lack of basic information in English or sign-posting to it - this included maps and how to access daily water etc. If you are visiting as a couple and want to enjoy quality time together your choices are six bar tables in the main restaurant next to the specials chef (fine if you like the smell or garlic) or next to the pizza counter. The only extra cutlery is also on your tables guaranteeing a steady flow of people walking up to help themselves. The food was excellent, however the wine on tables was just passable (other wine is available for €20+); the speciality restaurants are also available to all inclusive guests at extra cost. This is not a resort for those with mobility challenges as there are many slopes and steps down to the beach where everything is charged at extra cost. Before we left, in the interests of fairness so as to help others, I discussed our concerns with Alex the Guest Relations Manager who apologised and said he 'started his position two months ago and continues to try and resolve the issues with Tui - Robinsons have been only having German guests for 25 years and was trying to accommodate others'. He promised to pass my feedback on and although I did not ask for anything he said he would leave us something 'nice in your room'. We later came back just to find a card from him thanking us for our time and feedback - maybe a another member of staff was supposed to leave something, but in his shoes I would have made sure it happened and checked in with us before we left. Overall we felt excluded and any issues such as misleading prices on the website for windsurfing or simply reporting upset stomachs over a couple of days were largely met with disinterest from reception staff or left with us as our issues. We continued to be friendly but my Spanish is better than my German and even the local staff would reply to me in German - a member of staff in one of the resort shops said 'Wow, you're English, how do you cope here with everyone speaking German!' Tui think they have provided all of the solutions via an app, however it is impersonal and has information gaps - the staff could not research our departure transfer time so we could be confident in the new app's information. At no time was there a Tui representative at the resort and all contact is now via the app. Until Tui and Robinsons improve things considerably I would only be able to recommend this resort to groups (who will still share tables of eight in the main restaurant or fluent German speakers.

A great place for family vacation in the sun on September pr Octobre. The place is wonderfully with a awesome beach and beautiful gardens. Sometimes a few services are a bit cheap (main restaurant for example or some activites). Therefore do not hesitate to take the paying dinner. Anyhow we come since 11 years and we love it. note: you should speak some German otherwise you might not enjoy it

We visited this beautiful hotel during the Autumn holidays. The weather in October is perfect in Fuerteventura. The hotel is absolutely top, lovely gardens with several interesting plants, it is worth to walk trough it and admire it. The rooms are very comfortable and nice renovated, clean and tidy. We stayed in a family room and it is big enough for the 4of is (2 tenees+mom and dad). Food is good, and there are plenty of sports activities the hole day long all days of the week. There is a beautiful and big beach which can be reached in 10 min walk (there is a pathway). The only problem here is, as in all “all inclusive” hotels that it can get difficult to get a place in the pool (2big pools) but that is because of the guests (99% Germans) who reserve the places already very early in the morning... that’s a problem..All the rest was absolutely fine!
