We have just returned from a weeks stay here and cannot fault the resort at all. After reading some of the reviews before we arrived we were somewhat apprehensive about what we were coming to but I have to say we were blown away with every aspect of our time here. We arrived a little early and went to reception who informed us our villa would be ready at 4pm however we could use the bar if we wanted. We chose to drive to the near by supermarket and pick up some essential supplies. We stayed in a6. The villa was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed for a weeks stay. The pool area was also very clean and there was plenty of room for all of us with the added bonus of a large rooftop terrace with some lovely views. The cleaner visited every day (except Sundays and Wednesdays). She always rang the bell and waited to be let in to the villa. If it was inconvenient or you did not require cleaning you just let her know and she wouldn't clean that day or she would come back later. We have two teenage sons so after the first morning the cleaner used to leave us until later in the morning so our boys could have their usual teenage lie in's !!! We paid for the pool heating and our pool was checked daily and cleaned thoroughly every other day. We never ate at the resort or used the bar facilities but these looked very nice and well kept. There were a few small signs of wear and tear but nothing more than is to be expected from a holiday home. And these certainly did not spoil our holiday in anyway. We have had a fantastic stay and cannot fault the resort or any of the staff. Everyone was polite helpful and hard working. We are already looking at returning next year with friends. More
slightly disappointing resort, but good value.
Very quiet location, few golfers about during our stay. Wifi service virtually non-existant at the villa. Accomodation was very good with a small plunge style pool which was very warm. Rooms spacious and comfortable with modern furnishings. Trying to be more upmarket than it really was, but no criticism. We did not eat here although the menu seemed good and others have commented on how good it was. Our plan had always been to use it as a base during the day and head out in the evening for meals, which we did most days. Being in the north of the island means travelling around, and we had a hire car as part of the Thomson package we booked. Only the fairly fit and keen walkers will stroll into town and back, especially in the heat of the day. There is a regular minibus ride though, but we didn't have to use it. Others again have commented on it being good and convenient though. Recent ownership change was working through when we were there and there was some rumours of problems with cleaning and maintenance, which we did not experience ourselves. We would go back again though and hope the new owners succeed in turning it into a great location.More

We stayed in villa B1 and was a lovely larger than normal plot been on the end which was great for the little one, there was a few negative points we would have like to have had a kettle, and would be nice to see a small washing up liquid maybe somewhere to buy some small quantity of supplies. Over all a very good holiday More
Second visit - there won't be a 3rd!
We spent a week here in January 2017. It was fine for what we paid as we only wanted a cheap week in the sun after Christmas. We decided to go back in October 2017 but as it was our main holiday we wanted to upgrade to a luxury villa. We had booked with Ryanair Holidays but i emailed the hotel directly about the upgrade. About 6 weeks before we were due to arrive i was quoted EUR1,400 to upgrade to a luxury villa (bit steep) or EUR450 to upgrade to a sea view duplex. I left it. Then 2 weeks before we were due to arrive i emailed again and this time was quoted EUR500 to upgrade to the LUXURY villa and they would also include full board - WOW. I was happy to pay this so i did (over the phone). However, when we arrived we were given the keys to our villa (somewhere on row A) We walked in and it was exactly the same as the villa we had stayed in in January! There was nothing luxurious about it at all. We went straight back to reception to complain and ask for a luxury villa that we had paid extra for. They tried to fob us off by telling us it was a luxury villa. I was getting angrier by the minute. We had pictures on our phone of what the luxury villa should look like but they were not interested. After lots of arguing they eventually agreed to show us 2 other villas and we could chose the one we wanted. Neither of them were luxury but the one we decided on was a little nicer inside and had better furniture outside, including a double wicker bed by the pool. However, i still felt like they had cheated us out of 500 euros. Next problem was the security deposit. This is a joke. Before we left i had read all the comments on here about people having to pay 500 euros and then it taking weeks/months to be refunded. When we went in January we did not have to pay this so i emailed the hotel again to check this. Iroslava emailed me back and said i would not have to pay a deposit on arrival. It was only in high season as there had been a lot of damage. So imagine my surprise on arrival to be asked for 500 euros!!! I immediately refused to pay it. Then he said he would accept 300 euros. Again i refused and said i had an email confirming no deposit was needed. I then had to spend 15 minutes trawling through the emails on my phone looking for the email to show them. Eventually they gave in and said i didn't need to pay it. Its obvious that they take all these 500 euro deposits to fund their cash flow. Thats why they can't afford to give people their money back when they check out. That did it for me. We were booked to go here again through Thomson in December. I would seriously have cancelled the holiday and forfeited my £600 deposit - i felt that strongly about not wanting to return there as i just felt cheated and conned. However, whilst we were there Thomson sent me an email to say our flight times had changed for December by 6hrs. Great!! I could now cancel free of charge. Happy days. The cleaners came in daily (except Wednesdays and Sundays). They had a quick mop round the floors and made the bed and changed the towels. In the 12 nights we were there we did not have a clean change of bedding, which i find unacceptable. Our bed had a duvet on it without a duvet cover and the duvet had stains on it. I kept putting it on the floor in the corner and took bedding off the twin beds in another room but the cleaner kept putting it back on our bed! No air con was an issue as it was so hot. The first night we slept with the window open but the next morning we were covered in bites. We bought some mosquito plug ins from the supermarket the next day and they helped but it was still so hot in the villa on a night. The villas have roof terraces but no furniture on them - whats the point? We carried a sunbed up the 2 flights of stairs so we could enjoy the roof terrace. I certainly won't ever go back here due to the problems with the upgrade and security deposit. We have been going to Corralejo for the last 6 years and usually stay next door at Bahiazul, which is much more luxurious. We thought we would try it here but at the end of the day you get what you pay for and for me the extra money it costs to stay at Bahiazul is worth every penny!More
