The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.
From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in 5 minutes.
Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.

2 outdoor pools
The two pools are set together on the sun terrace, surrounded by palm trees comfy loungers, with straw parasols to keep the sun at bay. The larger, curvy pool is ideal for everyone who wants to swim, splash about or just float in the sun, whilst the smaller, circular pool is ideal for the little ones.
This small friendly, heated pool provides some relieve for those who are not sun lovers, or for when the weather misbehaves. Loungers line the sides making this a good spot to chill for a while.

Spacious clean studio
Stayed here for a week. Booked a studio including breakfast which was large with a separate kitchen & separate dining room area. Daily fresh towels & bin change. The shower did not have a lot of water pressure. There was plenty on offer for breakfast from cooked to continental. Staff were lovely. Only downside was the location. Was up on a steep hill & going down to the main square in old town was going down the hill & 97 concrete steps. Going back up was a workout but something you got use to. Not suitable for those with mobility issues unless you wanted to use a taxi each time! Could not fault old town of Albufeira though. Beach was gorgeous & plenty of restaurants to choose from. The locals are so friendly. We had our favourites. We will be returning to Albufeira again.More
Exactly what we needed
Myself and my 2 friends were looking for a a cheap getaway, we found cheap flights and found these apartments. Large, clean and a short walk into the old town and the beach.... Be aware though the walk is up and down alot of stairs, but for my friends and I it was no problem. There was a twin room and a pull out bed in the lounge and a short walk to the supermarket to stock up the kitchen. Highly recommended staying here. More
Truly Wonderful Accommodation
I stayed at the Cerro Mar for 4 nights and it was really a lovely stay. The apartments, grounds, pool area and restaurant/bar area were spotlessly clean. The bar staff were very nice, warming and polite and there was ample space around the pool/ enough sunbeds available. The location is great, walk down the hill to the set of steps on the right and it takes down to the main square. We got a taxi up the hill every night from the taxi rank (Which you have to queue for outside the Meet Bar- the taxis move forwards to the top of the queue, so don't walk down to them where they have stopped) and the taxi cost €3.90 every time to go to the apartments at night. The food and drink by the pool bar is nice and its not that pricey either. Only thing I would say is the shower was a bit flimsy and not that powerful and the "double" sofa bed is not that great, one was like a prison bed that pulled out from under the sofa and then you slept on the sofa which was not comfy; you also can't lay out properly on the sofa as its very short, so if you are average height-tall, you will be a bit squashed. Okay for a few nights, but wouldn't advise for a week or more or if you have a bad back/problems sleeping. All in all, I would definitely go back to Cerro Mar but would book the additional room for better nights sleep.More
