Epic Sana Algarve

We had a great time at EPIC SANA for several reasons, I will list a few: 1) Rooms are perfect for a family (we had T1- one bedroom I think) and they had the sofa bed and a rollaway already set up when we checked in. Plus the extra bathroom is absolutely life saving when u have 4 people trying to get out for an activity or dinner on time and need to shower ( and one is a teenager ;). Plus, rooms kept clean as sand on a beach vacation can be unavoidable, but they did great. Outdoor balcony to hang wet suits also super helpful. They also gave us a bottle or wine and chocolates which was a sweet gesture. 2) Outdoor pools are heated (temps were mostly in the 70s-80 F) and they don't sit there and count how many towels u may have taken. 3) Meals: Our package included breakfast and brunch (which is actually a full lunch) which are not anything amazing, but for being included they were great and super convenient. Plus, expresso drinks are always appreciated. And the staff there is working super hard without much appreciation 4) fitness area was nice, with included daily class (yoga etc), unfortunately we were only able to attend one which was great. I was unable to use the spa for a massage as there was no availability. 5) Gorgeous Beach, with access right from hotel ( bit of a walk and stairs for those with mobility issues) 6) Al Quima restaurant (amazing and will review separately) 7) Most of all- I called about a month in advance to change my reservation (decreased number of nights d/t change in our plans). They did this without any hesitation and honored the original pricing I had on my reservation. Although, in retrospect we should stayed longer :) Negatives: None really, although you should consider frosting the bathroom doors to the toilet and showers (glass doors not prudent in family rooms) We will absolutely return, maybe with more friends/family and stay longer !!!

Just returned at the weekend from this wonderful holiday, it was our 4th stay at this hotel and certainly won’t be our last. Everything from checking in to checking out was perfect. Every member of staff was so polite,friendly and professional an absolute credit to this hotel. Our room was serviced to a high standard everyday and fresh clean towels and bed linen. Breakfast should keep everyone happy, they was so much choice! Meals taken at the buffet restaurant and evening meal at the Open Deck were excellent! Can’t wait to return next year. The only negative note from our stay was on a morning going to the pool areas everything had been straightened and washed down but they was always left over glasses and the odd wine bottle on tables from previous night. We just couldn’t understand why hotel staff would not clear them away especially when the rest of the hotel is immaculate and perfect.
