This hotel comes with a laid-back pool, low-key entertainment and authentic Italian cooking.
This hotel is in a tucked-away suburb and just 5 minutes by bus from Sorrento itself, with Marinella Beach even closer still. And it’s a few minutes’ walk from the train station for trips to places like Pompeii and Naples.
There’s a good-sized pool with a children’s splash area. Food-wise, expect a real taste of Italy, particularly at the weekly Neapolitan evening and gala dinner. Evenings are all about relaxed cocktails and low-key music.

First Rate Service
What a fabulous Hotel !. The food was amazing, the hotel was very clean and very well arranged. The staff was excellent and extremely professional. I can't say enough about how fantastic the the entire staff were it really made our entire holiday that much more enjoyable. The hotel is also well located and close to the ocean with only a few minutes walk to the seaside. I am very well traveled and as an experience that hotel was by far the best I have ever stayed in. Thank you Alpha.More
Great hotel fantastic service
Have just returned from the Alpha Hotel where my wife and 9 year old son and myself spent a great week (Oct 23rd to 30th)in the province of Sorrento. The hotel is well placed in the lovely town of St Agnello and only a short 25 min walk from the beautiful city of Sorrento. The hotel itself is very welcoming spotlessly clean with excellent staff. Our room was very comfortable, a decent size for the 3 of us with a lovey balcony, good size bathroom with whirlpool bath and again fabulously clean and tidy. The pool area was also wonderful with lemon and orange trees surrounding it although this time of year the pool was quite chilly but this doesn’t put off my 9 year old! We stayed on a half board basis with a buffet style breakfast with a great choice of hot and cold food and then a 3 course meal with full table service at night this also had a great choice with at least 5 choices of starter and mains which were all delicious then a choice of super tasty cake or gelato for dessert. A great plus was gala night with a fab 4 course meal with a set menu. This was a great hotel in a great location but the one thing that really stands out in our opinion are the staff especially Salvatore and his team in the dining room they all went above and beyond the call of duty making dining a fabulous experience nothing was too much trouble and although there weren’t many kids there they were made to feel so welcome and that they also got delicious food that they all wanted to eat- thank you Hotel Alpha for a great holiday with special thanks to Salvatore and his team look forward to holidaying with you again More

very good hotel
We arrived in the evening so impressed with the reception and warm welcome . They have arranged for us a nice meal . I would say the rooms are basic but it is very clean . The hotel location is good just few minutes walk to the train station . It is about 20-40 minutes away depends on how quickly you walk to Sorrento. Going to naples . ercolano and pompei is easy because the train station is just near. You can buy train ticket to pompei or Sorrento from the hotel main reception. The downside is that the rooms can be noisy that's why I don't want to give it an excellent score . You can really hear the movement and conversation from the rooms on each side. Also disappointed that during my birthday I did not get any treat, We always go for holiday on our birthdays and every hotel we have been in spain ,Cyprus and other counties always give a gift even a bday card or small cake. I really would like to appreciate the good service of the restaurant staff headed by Salvatori who rectified and at least gave me a nice fresh orange juice ( as I don't drink alcohol) for my birthday upon knowing that its my birthday . I would still recommend this hotel though.More
A Re-visit to the Alpha
I stayed at this Hotel several times some years. I enjoyed my stays then and I did this time. I think this is an excellent hotel, the room was great, the staff will go out of their way to help you. The location is ideal, there is a ten minute walk to the local railway station. A five minute ride will take you into Sorrento and going the other way you can take the train all the way into Naples stopping off at Pompeii.More
Good hotel but time-warped!
We enjoyed a pleasant stay at the Alpha. Staff very friendly and facilities are good and comfortable for a small hotel. Some signs of décor and furnishings needing some freshening and gardens are a bit tired. The fruit trees around the pool were overgrown and provided too much shade and attracted a lot of flies which was very annoying. Overall though a nice hotel but not really a 4 star (although Italian hotels seem to be generally lower standard than some other countries for some reason in our experience). A good base for sightseeing although a 30 minute walk in to Sorrento centre along very narrow dangerous streets for pedestrians (and drivers alike! .More
