Spend my birthday with my sister and her husband here. The suite was amazing - on top of a hill (we walked every day, as this was deemed a great exercise lol - golf cart service was available, but we never exercised the option). The pool was smaller, but beautiful, especially at night. I swam in a circle, which was fun. The front desk was always very helpful, from answering questions by email, in person or by phone. Assisted with bike rentals, airport transport and the like. Half board was included in our suite package, we used it a few times. The food was excellent. Breakfast was my favorite - I always choose the Greek version - delicious. There is a lot of construction going on, which never bothered us, but some guest might find it disrupting. Progress needs work - that’s my motto. You are very close to the Main Street, where shops, restaurants, rental and tour companies can be found. We walked it daily (steep walk - again, it sure is a great exercise), 10-15 minutes travel time. Thank you for a great birthday weekend!
Beautiful views, amaizing stff

This is probably the hardest review I have ever written because when we arrived we were thrilled to see the place was exactly like all the pictures we had seen online. The reception was gorgeous and clean and the villa with its pool just as lovely. We met Trudy at Reception and were given keys to the Orange Tree Villa. On entering the villa I was a bit let down but not dissapointed to the extreme. I'll explain, the furniture is all very dark, but you can see that in the pics but then as you walk around the villa you see that it isn't a 5* villa. Fridge, microwave, toaster, all these items are so old and need updating. This is a 6/8 birth but has a one 2 slice toaster and one TV in the downstairs room that comfortably sits 4/5. There were only 4 sun loungers and there were 5 of us so had to ring for one of those and it was brought straight away though. There is plenty of room in the villa and the cleaner comes daily and the pool is cleaned daily. This isn't quite a "private" villa though as both sides of these villas are open. Now I feel if you have young children you need to know this because I was under the impression that it was a closed private garden and it wasn't. Each side of the villa is open with no fate so someone or anyone can walk straight through. Infact a workman walked straight passed me while I was on my sun lounger on one morning. But the biggest let down of all was THOMAS COOK. We sat for 10 mins by the pool and there was drilling and shouting and Lorries, and we discovered there was a building site less than a couple of meters from our villa behind the hedge. My husband and I walked up to see what was going on and there is a hotel and apartments being built on the doorstep. It started at 8am and continued till 8pm. The owners of the St. John's Villas were marvellous, they apologised profoundly saying it should have been completed by April, they were promised. They offered to move us, however they couldn't do that for 4 days and we were only there 7 and the it was only 3 doors away. They gave us a meal on the house to say sorry and I really felt for them as this was really going to effect them. THOMAS COOK on the other hand were disgusting, couldn't get to speak to anyone on their so called EMERGENCY NUMBER for 24 hours and even then the Receptionist Trudy got hold of them on some other number for me. They offered to move us to the town "not the quiet, sucluded" location we had paid a fortune for and then offered us a £150 compensation !!! They even had the audacity to say they knew nothing about the building work when the man that owns the building site is Thomas Cooks main Administrator on the island who apologised to us and offered us a free trip to his water park. The staff at St. John's Villas are absolutely 5* , the food is absolutely 5* the location, if you like a walk is 5* but I feel the villas inside can only be rated 4*.

Stayed here for a week the suites are new and are absolutely fantastic beautifully decorated excellent facilities big comfortable bed. All suites have their own swimming pool. They are spotless with two very good maids who clean twice a day. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and had dinner a couple of times good quality food with good service. You could have breakfast delivered to the room but we preferred the to walk to the restaurant. You do need a car or taxi into the village as very steep hills but taxi not expensive, and being in an elevated position gives lovely views to the sea. This is well worth a visit and I wish them luck for the future but somehow don’t think they will need it !!

This resort is nice and clean, however there is a large amount of construction works being carried out next to the resort that due to the construction being behind schedule is now at a stage of 24 hour construction, this is not mentioned during any visitor information and if you have not brought an exterior speaker system with you it could be frustrating if you would like a relaxing time next to your pool. The gymnasium was always closed along with the spa to which you then need to walk to reception and ask for it to be opened which is easy to do but unnecessary. The gymnasium is very old and tired maybe 1 star if Best much like a garage gym arrangement and needs much upgrading. Breakfast in the resort is the same everyday and even though perfectly clean and cook fine it’s simply repetitive. We needed to have our food warmed up via a microwave as the breakfast food was never hot simply warm but within a few minutes cold. Our telephone and tv in our 3 bedroom villa did not work and a constant beeping noise from the boiler room made it again frustrating when trying to sleep. I feel the resort was probably a month off being ready to take paying guests. One positive is the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Evening restaurant food is also very nice and recommend special fillet beef and salmon and orange sauce both very enjoyable. I travel a large amount and would say with some refinements and improvements the resort could be lovely. Food and restaurants in Tsilivi are very nice along with convenient taxi companies that are timely and polite.
The new suites are amazing!

I have stayed at St John Villas before but this year I tried their brand new luxury suites. I stayed the first few days of opening and despite the obvious newness of the facilities I cant say enough about how beautiful and well designed these suites are. On arrival we had a separate entrance just for suite customers, as they are adult only suites, and then were taken straight up to our suite. The view from the suite is to die for...olive groves then the endless turquoise sea. The décor is modern and luxurious and we really felt we had landed in the lap of luxury. Suite customers have their own private restaurant for adults only. The reception and breakfast buffet area for villa customers we noticed has also been modernized and redesigned and looks amazing. So those of you who have booked villas Im sure will be really impressed too! The suites are situated a distance away from the rest of the complex but transport to and from the villa is available on request too so if you are feeling lazy you don't have to even walk down to the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful and very profession too. What else can I say!
