    This family-run hotel has a great reputation for its home-cooked food. Plus there’s a big pool and a beach nearby.

    These self-catering studios have been awarded a Gold Medal award every year since 1996. And it’s easy to see why – their laid-back pool scene and home-cooked meals are second to none.

    You’ll find the complex among peaceful olive groves about a 15-minute walk from the centre of Alykes. It’s the same distance to the beach, and there’s also a mini-market 5 minutes down the road.

      Square in shape and with the pool bar at the end of the pool, there's a shaded area with plenty of table and chairs to use, plus there are sunbeds with parasols on the terrace.

      If you fancy breakfast, head down in the morning and treat yourself to an English breakfast. There are snacks to choose from throughout the day, and traditional home cooked meals in the evening, also with a satellite TV.

    Stayed with George and his family for a week last June, just wish we had booked a longer stay. The rooms are spacious and very well appointed, excellent pool no fighting for sun loungers, the hotel is extremely well looked after and only a short walk to restaurants, bars and the beach. The food in the hotel is excellent you could stay for a week and not eat anywhere else, would highly recommend

    Ask for room in the new block overlooking the pool.If you are unlucky enough to get one of the older rooms you may be did as the are well overdue for refurbisment.You also pay the same price for the newer rooms as TUI do not grade their rooms when booking.I would have paid a premium for the newer rooms.The shorts in the older rooms were very small and the utensils and cutlery was a Mitch match.On the plus side the cleaners were good and as most of the reviews state the food was excellent and good value.The cooking facilities in the room are not great,not even a microwave so eating breakfasts and dinner will easily cost in excess of £500 for 14 nights.George and the family are very welcoming and you can see why so many guests return.Other extras to be aware of Charges for safe, air conditioning,and the funny one only two toilet rolls per week supplied free.The location is excellent with good walks and the beach is 10-15mins sandy and the bathing is very safe,there are a lot of other bars and restaurants.The near by IVY bar is good for happy hour cocktails and to watch football or rugby with the sound up.The Wi-Fi is not good only available in the bar area and you can get better reception on the beach at some of the beach bars.I hope some investment is made on updating the older rooms and improving wi-Fi.

    We have just returned from the last 2 weeks of the season as guests of George and family. This was an excellent choice, we read the reviews on here prior to going and having read a couple of negatives we're a little dubious but needn't have worried, the complex was lovely and clean and cared for, George and his family were there for anything you needed and the meals were the best I believe I have had anywhere (although George wouldn't give me the drunken beef recipe which was amazing) and finally it was such a friendly group of guests we had a fabulous holiday. Thankyou George and family and best wishes for the upcoming wedding

    We have just returned from a wonderful week in sunny Alykes. Everything about the Potmaities Studios was fantastic. George made us feel very welcome and Andriana's cooking was amazing. We were in the new block and the room had everything we needed and was kept clean on a daily basis. The weather was a very warm and sunny 29c and the sandy beach was just a short 10 minute stroll away. Perfect! Thank you George and your family for looking after us.

    Didn't stay at this property but had some excellent meals there! My wife and I were staying further up the road and passed this place on our way into the village. There is a chalk board at the entrance inviting you to use the pool facilty and also the restaurant. We were chatting to a couple on the beach who were staying there and they highly recommended the food and hospitality. Well we tried it and were not disappointed, we were warmly welcomed by George who informed us that all the food was prepared by his wife Andriana. We made the mistake of ordering two starters and two mains along with a litre of house red wine. The portions were Desperate Dan size, enormous! They were very tasty and enjoyable, I particularly enjoyed the beef stifado, melt in the mouth beef with baby onions and red wine sauce. We returned a further twice during our stay and booked the Greek Night which is great value with selection of Greek meze dishes and BBQ meats. The dancing afterwards was traditional end a great laugh with holidaymakers joining in. Efharisto George and your family for your hospitality and for making me and my wife very welcome. I would certainly recommend Potamitis for the food and would suggest that they were the best meals I had in Alykes! I would consider this place to stay in future as the pool and accomodation looked clean and fairly modern, the hospitality was second to none. Thank you Tom & Phamie One starter between two is recommended!
