At the Hotel Acropol you can expect a friendly welcome from the Zigouris family, who have been running the historic property for almost 150 years.
Dating back to 1884, the Hotel Acropol was the first hotel in Parga Town. Since then, it's been run by the Zigouris family – the five brothers all chip in, from working in the bar to waiting in the restaurant.
You'll find Hotel Acropol tucked away in the narrow, winding streets of Parga's old town, just minutes from the harbour.

Good central position
Booked a suite with Thomsons and was assured it would be a bedroom with separate lounge with extra beds in.... which was, confirmed by email. We were given the so called junior suite which was a double bed with a sofa bed in the same room. We were given another room more suitable the next day after spending the first night in first room, which meant we could not unpack until we moved..not a good start! The sofa bed was not very comfortable and when opened up took up most of the room. Breakfast was a plate of all sorts ...not suitable to us, so we asked if we could have yoghurt and fruit with bread and honey which was ok for us. Service is extremely slow and frustrating . Hotel lacks a lounge bar with only bar stools to sit on. All tables are set for meal service. Hotel is clean and centally placed..would we return? I doubt it!More
Excellent hotel and stay
Travelled with Thomsons/TUI and stayed for 10 nights on a B&B basis. We were allocated room 20 on the second floor which was a beautiful suite with 2 balconies and a separate sitting room . We couldn't believe our luck. The room had a fridge, AC, two flatscreen TV's and was also lovely and spacious. Breakfast was not buffet style but was served cooked to order. We were fine with that, although as with most hotel breakfasts they can become a little bit repetitive towards the end of your stay. The lady member of staff who served breakfast throughout our stay was lovely and couldn't do enough for us, a credit to the hotel. We didn't dine in the Castello restaurant on site purely because as it was our first stay in Parga and we wanted to get out and about and check out the resort. We absolutely loved Parga and the hotel is slap bang in the middle of the town in a perfect location, a 2 minute walk from the front and the boats you could also catch to the beaches at Valtos, Lichnos and Sarakiniko. The walk to Valtos beach took about 20 mins from the hotel. It was uphill to the castle and then a descent the other side to the beach itself. It was certainly a daily workout in the heat but there are plenty of bars and restaurants on the way that you can stop at for some light liquid refreshment... We will definitely return to Parga in the future and would not hesitate to stay at the Acropol again.More
Charming hotel downtown Parga
Just a few minutes walk from the old port of Parga. Small, friendly hotel with helpful and welcoming staff. Breakfast is served in the backyard every morning by Ioanna the hostess. She met us all with a smile and a few friendly words every morning. Perfect start of the day. The rooms are clean and the wifi works well. The hotel houses one of the better restaurants in town, Castello. So the evenings can be quite busy there.More
Lovely hotel in a quaint setting
We stayed for a week at this brilliant hotel. From the start we were made very welcome and a member of staff helped us with our luggage from where the coach left us to the hotel, about a five minute walk. The room was very clean and had everything you could want, including wifi, fridge, AC, and a full bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. The staff were really attentive and helpful and the breakfast was a really nice and substantial continental breakfast. We had several evening meals in their restaurant and these were tasty and well presented. Upon leaving Yanna, another member of staff, carried both our suitcases up the hill to where the coach was picking us up for the airport, she was very kind and just a lovely person. We were very grateful to her, as being in our early seventies, it would have been quite difficult for us to pull our cases up the hill. We intend to return to this lovely hotel next year.More
