These self-catering apartments come with a good pool. And if you don’t fancy cooking, snacks are served at the pool bar*.
This is a small, family-run complex with a friendly atmosphere. The studios are surrounded by manicured gardens dotted with palm trees.
In terms of location, it’s in a quiet corner of Skala. That said, the town’s shops and tavernas are just a 5-minute walk away, and it’s only a 10-minute stroll to the Blue Flag shingle beach.

Very clean and well-appointed studios, including a hairdryer. It is unusual to find insect screens in studios in Greece but the Makis has them on all windows, a positive during hot weather allowing the windows to be left open at night. Plenty of sun beds, with mattresses, around the pool, so no problem finding somewhere to lie in the sun. The staff were very friendly and the cleaners did a good job everyday. The studios are in a quiet part of Skala but within easy reach of everywhere. Our only criticism concerns the beds; we found them very uncomfortable, a shame because otherwise we would have given the Makis 5 stars. There are very many steps so the studios so they are not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. A great holiday!More
Total relaxation !
We had a lovely relaxing stay at these studios. Everything was spotless and well kept. Breakfast at the pool bar was brilliant and the family were lovely. The pool was good and no problem with sunbeds. Very peaceful considering you are only a few minutes from resort centre. A very friendly atmosphere amongst the guests who were all british. We would recommend the Makis studios to anyone.More
What a find !
Ideally situated for the town, beach, restaurants, bars. 5 mins walk to the nearest supermarket. Lovely clean rooms and grounds. Great bar food. Not suitable if your disabled as lots of steps, also a steep climb up the high street. Pool is great , very clean and always lots of available beds. We will stay here again. More

We loved it here. 3 mins from the nearest supermarket, 5 mins into town. Easy reach for all the bars, restaurants, beach & shops old skala. Really clean apartment with cooking rings under the sink with pans. Toaster, kettle, hairdryer, plates dishes & cutlery etc. Pool is lovely and area is clean. But the beds are very hard, towels are rough and some bedding has seen better days and is threadbare. Air con was €65 for 2 weeks. I think it's €35 for a week, so cheaper than others in skala. Shower is brilliant, really powerful But no hot water after 7pm, I think it gets used up. Would stay here again as the cons are very few. More
