Best time to go to Crete
Crete claims to have the longest summers in the Mediterranean. Temperatures on the island start to rise around April, and by May you’re looking at averages of 24 degrees. In July and August, temperatures hit 30 degrees more often than not, although seasonal summer winds stop things from getting unbearably hot. September and October still offer beach-friendly temperatures – expect anything from the low to high-20s. Most of the rain on the island falls between November and March, and for the rest of the year there’s just the odd shower here and there.
