This hillside hotel has sweeping sea views and a pool to enjoy them from. Plus the beach is just down the road.
These hillside apartments deliver knock-out views, taking in olive groves and Albanian mountains across the Ionian Sea. And the best place to admire them from is the pool.
The poolside bar has an impressive drinks menu and does daytime snacks too, including a mean morning fry-up. San Stefanos’ restaurants, shops and sandy beach are a 10-minute downhill walk away.

Worth the climb!
We can't add much to what Teguise 98 has said in their very accurate review but this is a very pleasant place to stay. As often, there is a steep but short uphill climb but the upside is the excellent views over the village. The pool is not enormous but very well maintained and with adequate sunbeds and parasols. The bar is simple and excellent value for drinks and snacks. We have sometimes found in apartments where there is a large number of repeat visitors that the atmosphere can be rather cliquey. This is most definitely not the case here and this is possibly due to the family who run the apartments being so friendly and open. They are also helpful and efficient - I mentioned a defective light bulb and it was replaced in a couple of hours. Our apartment had balconies front and rear which was useful for us at certain times of the day as I don't like the full sun. The kitchen has more equipment than you often get in Greece and the bedrooms have insect screens. There is a good choice of tavernas in the village - we liked Brusko, Nafsika and Zorba's who do the corny dancing stuff but do it very well. For a more international cuisine Beachcomber is a good choice. We did not see sight nor sound of our Thomson rep but used the travel agent San Stefano travel for trips to Albania, Kassiopi and Corfu Town. Very efficient, nice people.. We went to Sidari on the local bus and wished we hadn't - a mini Kavos type place, not worth the journey. Agios Stefanos and Arillas are much better. And if you walk to Arillas break your return journey at Akrotiri Taverna on top of the hill for a drink in a pleasant airy spot..More
Holiday in Corfu
Really enjoyed our stay at the Tsaros apartments, the apartments are very spacious and cleaned daily. The pool and bar is a short walk down the hill and my children really enjoyed playing in the locely swimming pool. The apartments are located up a very steap hill and it was hard work pushing our daughters buggy up and down the hill every day. I would definitely recommend. More
Wonderful and welcoming staff, comfortable
Three friends on a 2 week holiday, August 2017. We were made to feel very welcome from the outset. Thanassis and his family did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Within a few days I felt like an old friend. This is a very well run establishment. Apartments are basic, typical Greek style. All bedrooms have a balcony. There is plenty of storage space and we had more than enough coat hangers. The kitchen has the basics - crockery, cutlery and a few pans, toaster, kettle, electric oven with hob and fridge/freezer. No microwave. No TV. If you want fluffy towels, I suggest you find room in your luggage to bring some. Rooms are cleaned daily, bedding and towels were changed at least 3 times during our stay. Bathroom - usual Greek shower, more like a wet room. Hairdryer. One loo roll is provided. Apartments are situated on a slight hill up from the reception/bar/pool area. We stayed in apartment 10. There appears to be 2 layouts for apartments: There are 3 in each block. One occupies half of the first floor and two others each have half of the ground floor and a quarter of the first floor. The 2-floor apartments have a twin room on the ground floor along with the kitchen and bathroom, and a twin room upstairs. Here's a tip: the terrace on top of the bar is nearly always empty. It's a great place to sit in the quiet, with the beach-facing end giving a cooling breeze and the pool end a fabulous sun-trap. Now let's tackle that hill! It's not as horrendous as some reports indicate. It's about 180m from the main road to the reception/bar area. This part of the hill is around 25-33% (1 in 3 to 1 in 4 for older English folk), so not as steep as your stairs at home. From here to the middle of the uphill apartments is around 150m and less steep. Going up in the hottest part of the day is obviously more difficult. Just take a slow Greek-speed amble and it should be no problem. It certainly wouldn't put me off going again. I've attached some photos to try give a perspective. Now to respond to some reviews that report feelings of being left out because of the many regulars at the complex: Yes, there are many people who have visited regularly for up to 20 years. Yes, staff do chat to them like good friends - they are! Some even behave like staff - clearing up and serving the odd drink here and there. I found this caused absolutely no problem. Those regulars will welcome you like any other holiday maker, perhaps even more so because they feel more comfortable around the place. Regulars can also be a source of good info - best restaurants/bars, good places to visit and so on. We found chatting to them a pleasure and, I have to say, I feel they enhanced my experience of Tsaros Apartments. So to the town. The hub of San Stefanos lies along two streets around a T junction. You'll find the usual Greek tavernas (with a few offering up tourist style Greek dancing), small gift shops, car rentals and day trip outlets. The beach is long and sandy with shallow waters up to perhaps 100m out. Perfect for children. There are 3 or 4 beach front tavernas offering free sun loungers for patrons. Two areas to the right require payment. San Stafanos is quite remote, meaning drivers need to negotiate small roads for some distance before reaching the Sidari/Kerkyra road. Nowhere is what you could call local (with the exception of Arillas, with its nice cliff-backed beach). Signage is typically poor, so hope you're not in a rush! There are some lovely areas to drive through, but only passengers will get the chance to see much - drivers need to have their eyes glued to the road! I'd recommend Tsaros Apartments to families, children and groups of friends. I would hesitate with the same for romantic couples or stag parties.More
Great place to stay
We have visited San Stefanos on numerous occasions before but never stayed at Tsaros. We had a two bedroom apartment which was an excellent size, really clean and had brilliant views. The staff at Tsaros were always really helpful and nothing was too much for them. The only improvement which could be made is the air conditioning which you can only have on when you are in the apartment. This is made worse due to the poor cooling which comes from the unit which is placed in the kitchen into the bedrooms - the bedrooms remain really warm on an evening. More
Wonderfully relaxing holiday in a truly Greek spot of Corfu.
Really pleased with our stay at Tsaros apartments: spacious 2-bed apartment, excellent air-con (only 35 Euros for the week), hot shower, peaceful location (yes, it's up a steepish hill but so worth the views - and burns off the cocktail calories!!). The pool is clean and tidy, with lovely views - especially from the roof terrace. We never had a problem getting a space. Staff are friendly and helpful. Drinks well-priced and varied. San Stefanos is a truly beautiful slice of Corfu, unspoilt by tourism, with friendly locals and regular visitors. The beach is huge, sandy picturesque and safe. The sea is shallow and clean - perfect for our little boys. You can't go wrong in your choice of tavernas and all are welcoming. A wonderfully relaxing holiday for four.More
