Follow a steep track that winds up behind the village of Nissaki, and you’ll discover the Old Stone House – a traditional village house draped in vines and hot pink bougainvillea. The Old Stone House has an unusual layout, with the modern kitchen set slightly apart from the main part of the house. Décor-wise, there's a distinctly homely theme.
Steps lead down from the house to the private pool, which has views through the olive trees to the sea below. It's a lovely spot for whiling the days away with a good read. The village of Nissaki is a ten-minute walk downhill. It’s got a trio of sickle-shaped shingle beaches that double as launch pads for a selection of watersports.
The petite kitchen squeezes in all the mod-cons, as well as a wooden dining table. There’s also a cool shaded terrace to the side of the house – perfect for enjoying dinner al fresco. Nissaki and its smattering of tavernas and shops is a ten-minute walk down a steep track. The climb up might be challenging, but it’s worth it for the rewarding views. Read more ››
