Ioanna’s House makes a great base for exploring – the sleepy village of Nissaki and a sand-and-shingle beach are just five minutes away by car.
A private infinity pool and bespoke sunloungers made from wicker and iron gather on the terrace. Here, the hillside plunges away from the villa, opening up picture-perfect vistas of the sea.
Step inside Ioanna’s House and you’ll find a real home-from-home. From the flame-red sofas in the lounge to the rustic kitchen with its country cottage cupboards, every room has its own character. Read more ››

Absolutely beautiful scenery and peaceful
After visiting last September for a week we could not wait to visit Ioanna's House again. We arrived on 30th June for a 2 week stay. Again the views took our breath away and it was extremely hot, but so worth it. We had such an amazing and chilled out holiday. We got to meet the owner, Costas, this time as he had to come and sort out a burst water pipe. He was a very nice man and we asked him about his lovely home and he showed us photographs of the villa being built. It was very interesting. Costas also turned up with a new music box as the original one was broken so he replaced it and gave us a lovely bottle of rose wine. This lovely home has 4 lovely sized bedrooms and easily fits two families but my husband and I were happy to have the whole villa to ourselves for two whole weeks. We could sit and enjoy the views from the balconies or around the pool all day, watching the boats and cruise liners going in and out of Corfu. The cleaner and pool man come on Tuesday and Fridays and the cleaner, Leena, was a very lovely lady and tried to keep out of our way if we were in the home. She kept it immaculate. The pool man was friendly too. The two weeks went by so quick and we were both sad to leave this beautiful home on this most beautiful island but one thing for sure, we will definitely book it again. If we could book for 3 weeks we definitely would! It is so worth it, even the 59 steps to the top did not bother us. Thank you and well done Costas.More
Quick tips for visitors to Ioannas House
We are staying here now and return on Friday when I will do a full review. I just want to offer a few tips to anyone coming shortly. This is a lovely villa with superb views, previous reviews have mentioned the climb up which is steep but quite bearable if you take your time, I'm a not particularly fit 67 year old woman! Anyway, when you arrive you will find there are absolutely no provisions such as salt, pepper, washing up liquid although I'm sure people must leave these they are cleared out or were in our case. You also need to bring your own pool towels, dish cloths, I think there was one tea towel. Another useful item would be a wine cooler sleeve, there is a decent sized fridge and freezer. We have used the tap water for boiling for hot drinks and straight from the tap for cleaning teeth without any problems but bought bottled for cold drinks. If you plan to eat in a sharp knife would be useful. Would definitely recommend Vitamins for eating out which is a short walk. Another lovely evening was to Taverna Agni, they will pick you up from Nissaki Harbour by speed boat and return you later, really magical. Suggest booking in advance via their website. I think it was about £60 a head for 3 courses and wine. I can't imagine anyone not loving it here, have a great time.More
A stunning family villa
We visited Ioanna's house in June 2017. We took a punt on the house after seeing it on the Thomson website. As with a lot of things on the internet, they can look better than they actually are but we were pleasantly surprised to find that the Villa exceeded our expectations. The house is built on the hillside overlooking Nisaki beach and has amazing views out over the sea with Albania on the left and Corfu town to the right. The house is built on three levels with a double bedroom, a twin room and two small bathrooms downstairs, a living room, dining area, kitchen and toilet on the middle level and two double rooms and two bathrooms on the upper level. All bedrooms and the living and dining areas all have their own balconies. The house sleeps eight and due to its design, two families of four could quite easily stay and have their own privacy. The outside of the house comprises of a paved patio area, swimming pool and a shaded seating area with a BBQ and Pizza oven. The downside to the location is that there are a LOT of steps to climb from the driveway (my daughter counted 59!). The driveway is steep, but not undrivable and there is room to turn a medium sized family car around (in a five point turn!). Due to the number of steps, I would not recommend this house for anyone with restricted mobility, anyone in a wheelchair or families with very young children. The maid visited twice per week and cleaned the house from top to bottom and changed all the beds, towels, bath mats etc. Likewise, the pool guy came twice per week and cleaned/maintained the pool. There are a lot of ants outside on the patio, but we didn't bother them and they didn't bother us! Unfortunately, I took the Mosquito bites for the entire family (the wife and kids were untouched), so make sure you pack plenty of insect repellent! If you aren't a fan of cats, be aware that there are quite a few feral cats that appear in the late afternoon/evening. They drink from the pool (really) and want scraps from the BBQ. It didn't bother us as we have cats at home, but some people may be put off by this. All that said, the house was perfect for our week in Corfu. The location is stunning and the view is worth the price alone! There are two Tavernas close by (Roumalis and 'Vitamins'). We ate at Roumalis and found the food was good and not overpriced. 'Vitamins' next door gets good reviews, but we didn't visit on this occasion. There is a bar ('The Street') which we didn't visit, but looked clean and had plenty of customers in when we passed. The house is also close to a couple of supermarkets (Aphrodite's and Katerina's). Both had plenty of supplies, but we found Aphrodite's was expensive. If you have a hire car, do yourself a favour and drive into Kerkyra (Corfu town) and go to Lidl. We found two large Lidle stores on our travels, one on the main road into Corfu town and the other is near the airport. We got a weeks supply of food for ten Euros more than the three small bags of shopping we got at Aphrodite's! That said, the husband and wife who run Aphrodite's were very friendly and chatty and they are trying to make a living, so I can't complain too much! We didn't visit Nisaki beach as it is very small and has a very steep descent to it, so we went to Barbati just down the road instead. Barbati is longer and has easier access, but the beach is a pebble one, so be prepared for a tricky walk! There are some sandy beaches on the North end of the island and the one at Agios Spyridon has shallow water that goes a long way out, making it perfect for children. If you are visiting with kids and have a hire car, set aside a day for Aqualand in Agios Ioannis. A family ticket cost us 82 Euros, but once inside the only things we paid extra for were food and the obligatory 5 Euro locker fee. The park is excellent and we spent a full day on the slides, rides and wave pool. The park is very big and is very clean. It is well staffed with plenty of lifeguards who are also first aid trained. The only downside is that there are no signs to find it! We picked up a map of the Island which showed the location, but as for UK style road signs pointing you in the right direction, forget it! There is a second, smaller waterpark (Hydropolis) at Acharavi, but we didn't visit. From the view we got as we passed in the car, it looked a fraction of the size of Aqualand. All in all, we loved our week at Ioanna's house and would not hesitate to book again for the next time we visit Corfu!More

Costas is a genius!
Wow! Costas you have created and made the most amazing villa - Ionna's house in Nissaki, Corfu. My husband and I had never done a villa holiday before but wanted somewhere with good views and peace and quiet. We found this amazing villa through Thomson Villas and booked it. We stayed here from 9th to 16th September 2016. Wow! After being greeted at the airport by our Thomson rep, Patricia, we were given the keys to Ionna's House and our vehicle for the next week. We were also given good directions and a map. We found our car and drove up towards the north east of the island and after about 40 minutes found the villa. We had been warned of the steep slope to the villa but not to turn off the air con in the vehicle and hence it took two attempts to get to the villa with a smoky car!! I am sure the next door neighbour was doubled over with laughter at us two leaping out of the car, thinking it was going to blow up! Anyway, we then climbed the 59 steps to the property and did not regret the view for one moment. OMG! We went into the villa and was amazed. Costas has designed such a brilliant villa. It is out of this world and truly beautiful. There were two bedrooms down stairs, double rooms too with their own balconies, two bathrooms and a sitting area (which would be good for a young family), then back on the first floor is the dining room, lounge and kitchen. The dining room and lounge are both open planned and very comfortable. The kitchen was a good size and had all the facilities that we required. Up on the second floor was two further bedrooms, with their own bathrooms and balconies. The two rooms were each separate and had their own stairs up, so you could get a bit of privacy from each other. I would add that all the bedrooms, dining area and lounge had their own balconies and all had amazing views. The villa was comfortable and beautiful. Outside their is a pool and bbq area and seating for a good size family or group of friends. Because the villa is not over looked we found ourselves able to sunbath in total privacy. We spent a week enjoying sitting on the balcony for our early morning cup of tea, watching the sun rise and then enjoying evening drinks on the balcony watching the day end and the moon lit sea views. I truly had never seen anything so beautiful. We would often sit in silence just watching the boats out on the beautiful Ionian sea, the planes in the distance taking off from Corfu airport and enjoying the spectacular views. We did have fun getting up and down the steps but they keep you fit and we had a lovely early morning swim in the sea. We decided to visit Kassiopi, where I had stayed before and the harbour, we shopped at Aphrodites supermarket and enjoyed lovely food at Vitamins restaurant down the road. In fact because of the peace of the villa and the amazing views we ordered take away pizza from Aphrodites three nights, which was delivered very quickly. My husband and I have never enjoyed a holiday so much and so relaxing. We would definitely recommend Ionna's House and would dearly love to return, if possible in the future. It really is a slice of heaven and one that we will never forget. Thank you Costas. 10/10 - perfection!More
