Half an hour's drive from Corfu’s old town, the Domes Miramare’s an adults-only luxury hotel with three restaurants and a handful of bars. The food’s been awarded a Michelin star, and one of the bars specialises in sushi and cocktails. There’s two pools, a beach on your doorstep, and a spa that puts on couples’ massages.
SPORTS & ACTIVITIES
Daytime workout activities are big on the menu here, with lot of fitness classes* to choose from – like yoga*, core training* and weights*. Many of these classes take place in an olive grove in the hotel grounds.
FOOD & DRINK
Slow-cooked octopus, fried squid with bean puree, and pasta with shrimps and wild fennel are a taste of what’s on the menu at the Michelin-starred Makris Restaurant.
1962 Gastronomy, meanwhile, is an eatery that’s all about sharing dishes, big salads and meze platters.
- Makris Restaurant*
This Michelin-starred restaurant specialises in Greek cuisine, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. There are plenty of meat and seafood dishes to choose from here, including, lamb, lobster and sea bass.

From 6pm, all the action moves to the Raw Bar, a stylish sushi and cocktail bar. It’s got panoramic sea views, best accompanied by a plate of sushi and an Aegean Spritz, made with Aperol and prosecco.
There’s also the Blue Bar, where you can sip on Champagne while a piano plays in the corner. The King of Greece once visited and asked that this room be painted blue, and the hotel keeps it like that today.
Curved into a Victoria-sponge-coloured sun terrace, one of the pools looks out over the sea. You can flit between a towel on the sand and a poolside sunlounger with ease.
There’s also a bar between one of the pools and the sea. You can munch on finger food in its lounge-like seating area, or grab a summer cocktail and take it back to your lounger.
