    The swanky Louis Ivi Mare opened its doors for the first time in summer 2019. It's right on the beach of Kato Paphos, a few minutes’ walk from Paphos harbour.

    The hotel's calling card is the outdoor pool. Kids get their own pool, while adults can relax in the spa.

    All the facilities, from the two bars to the three restaurants, are fresh out the wrapping. Hotel interiors are made of marble and glass, with lots of giant potted plants and splashes of teal in the decor.

    From the moment we arrived at the hotel until we left the staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The hotel is brand new and is spotless, everyone seems to have pride in working there. We were on a Half Board Plus package which meant we had the choice to eat in the buffet restaurant, the Japanese Restaurant, or the Greek Restaurant. The food and service in all the restaurants was excellent. A free drink and bottle of water was provided as part of the HB plus package. The glasses of wine we usually had on an evening were always very generous measures. We had a sea view room on the second floor which had sun most of the day. Not sure we would have liked to have been in a room on the front of the hotel as they didn’t seem to get any sun at all during the day, and no real views. Our room was spacious enough, and as with the rest of the hotel, spotless and well equipped. The pool area was good with loads of sun loungers available. It was November when we visited so I’m not sure what it would be like in mid summer. The pool is huge, around 50m long I think, and kept very clean. A nice touch in the afternoons was being served fruit kebabs, pineapple and mint sorbets free of charge. The walk into Paphos Harbour took about 35 minutes along a well maintained pathway. Only criticism is that at nighttime it wasn’t terribly well lit. Overall we had a very pleasurable experience staying at the Louis Ivi Mare, and we will definitely be back.

    We had a fantastic 5 days at Ivi Mare. Nothing was too much trouble from the moment we arrived to the day we left. The hotel was beautifully clean, light and airy. The staff were all fantastic from every area of the hotel. I am sorry to have forgotten all of their names. A special thank you goes to Stephanie at the mirrors bar for making us feel very welcome and for helping us navigate our way through the cocktail menu, a must for everyone ! Also thank you to Andreas in the restaurant for his lovely hospitality. The outdoor pool was a little too cold for us but we braved it anyway. Plenty of sun lounger’s were available. The walk to the harbour and into Paphos along the sea front took about 40mins. It was an easy and paved walk so manageable for most including buggy’s and wheelchairs. Thank you for making us feel very welcome and valued. Great hotel, fantastic staff 😀

    My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Louis Ivi Mare hotel. What an AMAZING hotel!!! Rooms are large, beautifully decorated and super clean. Bed is top notch. The staff went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. We will surely be back.

    I stayed here for 1 night as it was close to Paphos airport and very reasonably priced 5 star hotel. Great welcome from the lovely Layla. The room was very clean and modern. Unfortunately my room smelt of sick. My patio door was open when I arrived so I presume the maids knew this. As I was only staying one night and had settled in so I did not request to change room. On departure someone else’s dinner drinks on my bill. They checked the stubs at it was clear some man had signed for some drinks on my room and wrote my room number on the check. Even with that evidence there was an uncomfortable 5 minutes until they knocked it off the bill. As I stayed only one night it was very obvious to me, but others be warned check your bill. Be aware it’s on a “strip” of hotels if your planning to book for a longer trip and that’s not your thing. It strikes me as the type of hotel where people would add items on to others bills giving a different room number.

    We loved our stay at the Ivi Mare, as others have already said it is perfect in its cleanliness and the staff are all very friendly. We were offered complimentary massages and the staff at the palettes restaurant always took care of us. They even ordered halal food for us, and we were told if we’d called ahead it could have been ordered prior to our arrival. Thank you, on behalf of us both.
