    This adults-only hotel has a trio of pools and five restaurants including two à la carte places*. Plus, the beach is just seconds away.

    This place is right on a sandy beach, which comes with a jetty for guests to dive into the sea or sunbathe on. It’s also 15 minutes’ walk to the harbour along a coastal path.

    The hotel’s relaxed pool scene is made up of a trio of smart pools with whirlpools. When it comes to dinner, you can choose from themed evenings at the buffet place or the highly-rated à la carte.

    Due to health and safety reasons, mobility scooters aren't allowed in the hotel. You can park and charge your mobility scooter outside the hotel though. If you have a Blue Badge, we'd recommend you take it on holiday with you. Manual and electric wheelchairs are fine to use inside and out.

    Afternoon snacks, ice-cream and full board buffet meals with two visits per week to Aphrodite à la carte restaurant or Olive tree for dinner, subject to availability and with reservation. If you are staying in a superior room or suite, you have the option to visit Aphrodite à la carte restaurant for dinner without restriction, subject to availability and reservation. You'll also get after dinner snacks at the Pygmalion Restaurant until 22.30. Select local and international alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and a mini bar stocked on arrival with soft drinks, water, beer and a bottle of wine, plus espressos, tea and coffee.     Lovely quiet hotel

    This is a wonderful place to stay if you're looking for a quiet break. Most of the people staying here are over 60 so it's definitely not a party hotel. It's child-free too which was lovely. I loved the sauna and the gym with separate yoga/stretching room. The only negative I have to say about the hotel is that there are very few vegan options at breakfast, lunch or dinner, which is the only reason I'm giving the hotel a four instead of five star review. They do label all of their food so you know exactly what the allergens are. But it doesn't help that everything has milk in it. Even vegetables, rice and hash browns had milk in them. A vegetarian sausage at breakfast would have been a nice addition for instance. That said, when asking the chef, they were happy to create a dish for me, similarly at breakfast, I was offered an avocado when I asked.

    Great hotel for a completely relaxing break. Stayed for a week from 30th October in an Elite Class superior seaview room. The room was lovely with a great view. Wine and fruit on arrival with bottles of water provided daily. Great shop in the hotel too sells everything you might need at local supermarket prices. Everything about this hotel is first class. We have stayed in two five star hotels this year in Fuerteventura and Menorca and neither of them came up to the quality, standard and ambience of the Athena Royal. I don't know how the star rating works - this should certainly be 5 star in our opinion. The food in the Pygmalion restaurant was excellent, so much choice and quality. The restaurant staff are all so friendly. The extensive grounds mean you can have a sunbed at anytime of day and all well spaced out so peaceful and private. The service throughout the hotel was excellent, all the staff are amazing , the best we have experienced. Weather was great, hired a car and enjoyed visiting Kourion, Agios Georgios, Polis etc. Have already booked for next October !

    Fantastic hotel, great service , excellent food, good location, the entertainment staff full of enthusiasm and talented , however plenty of relaxing places if wishing to avoid entertainment. Lovely grounds and swimming pool , only downside beach a little rocky but great for snorkelling

    On arrival could not have been happier great reception and room was great even though we didn’t have a sea view extra beach towels all the essential’s fridge tea maker bath robe iron free bottle of water and wine with bowl of fruit yippee right on the beach plenty of comfortable sun beds the food is great plenty of choices and as an adult only everyone are friendly and the staff can’t do enough for you, lovely walk way along the beach too the harbour about 25min, and you are welcome to pop in any hotel on the way, or walk down the Main Street with some lovely restaurants on route, and they feed you well, they are bowels mad hear as well, in my opinion well worth a visit I done B/B but found that I could upgrade to H/B for an extra 19 euros a day and looking at the food it is well worth it. Airport 20 minutes away

    On arriving on a late flight to the Athena Royal Beach Hotel at after 11pm we were quickly checked in, we did not expect any food but on arriving into our room there were 2 plates of platter and a bottle of wine waiting for us, The following morning getting our bearings it was clear that this hotel was of a very good quality and for the whole week it did not disappoint. It was exactly what we were looking for, adults only, quiet hotel but with decent entertainment in the evenings and the food was of a really good quality.. The Ala Carte restaurant I have to say was if not the best food it was as good as I have ever had, and the service from the restaurant staff, bar staff, out door staff and the entertainment team was of an excellent quality. Excellent range of drinks included in the all inclusive which we had booked with some international brands. Also the hotel has an indoor pool and steam and sauna which was nice and clean, The sunbeds are also spaced out so you have plenty of room with a selection of areas to choose from and there were always plenty of sunbeds available no matter what time of day you choose to find one. Thank you so much Athena Royal Beach for a fantastic week and looking after us, so much so we will be looking to book again for early next year as soon as we can, and this says a lot because we have never gone back to the same hotel before!.
