    With three big outdoor pools and six restaurants, you’re spoilt for choice at this beachside hotel.

    This hotel deals in big numbers. For starters, there are three huge pools as well as a 2 paddling pools for children. Then you’ve got six restaurants – they’re a mix of buffet and à la carte, and all come with first-rate sea views.

    The only thing that separates this supersized hotel from the sea is a sandy beach, where you’ll find loungers and waiter service. A 30-minute walk – 10 by bus – takes you to Paphos harbour.

    Due to health and safety reasons, mobility scooters aren't allowed in the hotel. If you have a Blue Badge, we'd recommend you take it on holiday with you. Manual and electric wheelchairs are fine to use inside and out.

    If you're staying in a standard room you'll have 2 restaurants to choose from for buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as 2 visits per week to an à la carte restaurant with a reservation. Just so you know, lunches are served in the Mediterranean à la carte or Leda restaurant.


    If you're staying in a superior room or suite you'll have unlimited à la carte dining, plus, you can opt for late breakfasts until 11am. Lunches are served in the Mediterranean à la carte. Just to let you know visits to the Palm à la carte restaurant aren't included as part of your All Inclusive package. Standard rooms - selected local-brand and selected international alcohol as well as soft drinks. Tea and coffee and espressos in the room in the minibar on arrival. Tea and coffee are replenished daily.

    Superior rooms and suites - selected local-brand and selected international alcohol, soft drinks, tea, coffee in the minibar on arrival. Also a bottle of champagne 1 day prior to departure and daily tea, coffee, soft drinks and a bottle of water in your room. Snacks at set times.

If you're staying in a superior room or a suite, breakfast buffet options are available until 11.00 at the Zephyr Restaurant, lunch at the Mediterranean à la carte, Adonis Restaurant or Leda Restaurant . And there's various Snacks at the Helios Beach Bar. For your evening meal there's a choice of buffet in the Atrium restaurant or a set menu in Zephyr Restaurant or Leda Restaurant.

      Relax the day away at the Elixir spa centre* which is for adults only. If you're staying in a Superior room or a suite you'll benefit from free access to the sauna and steam bath at the spa - depending on availability, but remember that there is a small daily charge otherwise. The spa has two saunas, two Roman steam baths, therapeutic massages, body therapies, Exotic and Oriental therapies and Thalasso therapies, so there's something to suit everyone.

    • Entertainment programme

      With live music, a mini-disco, bingo and film nights. There's a morning entertainment programme which runs every day from May to October.

    • Indoor pool

      The indoor pool is heated November to April, and with its whirlpool bath, you'll find it hard to pull yourself away.

    This was our sixteenth visit and there is still no disappointment. The staff are fantastic,food very good in all restaurants. Location is excellent, just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but not too far away to be inconvenient. The three staff members that I must mention are Ionela who always gives you a very warm welcome as you go into the main restaurant, and Marina who welcomes you in the Zephyr restaurant, and Nana who looks after you at the beach bar_all are very attentive and a credit to the hotel. There is a major refurbishment going on at the hotel at the moment so am looking forward to see the changes when we visit again in April. Happy New Year to all at the Athena. John and Chris.

    We stayed here for a week end Nov. What a great hotel. Perfect location. We had a land view room. The view was still lovely as the mountains are in the background. The hotel was very clean, service great. The breakfast so much choice and delicious. We definitely recommend this hotel.
    Building work started during stay, dust clouds at breakfast.

    We stayed in this hotel for 10 days. The rooms are more Travel Lodge that 4 stars, the tiles in the bathroom needed a deep clean as the grout seems to be missed. The bedding bottom sheet are short & don't fit the mattress (I’ve never seen this problem before ). On the 3rd last morning we needed to sit inside for breakfast because the concrete dust could cause but building work on this hotel. The staff were very friendly on the 1st week but on the last 4 days most of the restaurant staff changed.

    This was our 14th holiday at this hotel and we have already booked for Nov 2020. The facilities are wonderful, we go partly for the bowling which is very well organised and to relax by one of the best swimming pools you would find anywhere. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the variety of food on offer is amazing. Ionella who greets you into the restaraunt is just a beautiful person inside and out. Like us, many of the guests return year after year and she remembers you like you were family. If you can’t enjoy a holiday here you would have to be very difficult to please.
