Mayfair Gardens Apartments

We have just returned from here after staying for 8 nights. We are a family of four (kids aged 1 & 8) and it really was the perfect location for a relaxing family holiday! Holidaying with a toddler or child isn’t ever usually relaxing but this hotel really had the balance of entertainment right for us. Everything from the food, entertainment & pools where all easily accessible for us. -Meal times where perfect & snacks where available in between. The food is brilliant, even for the fussiest family! Every day is a different theme and they’ve always got a kids selection too. The restaurant is lovely and never feels like your usual all inclusive canteen style restaurant. Drinks are brought to your table for the evening meal which is a nice touch too. -The kids entertainment was brilliant, big shout out to the young man who walked around every day (apart from Wednesday) to ask the kids if they wanted to join in any activity’s, he really was brilliant & knew every single child by name!! The woman who did the children’s mini disco and kids club was also great at getting all the kids involved. The 30min mini disco is just about perfect, not too long for the adults but long enough for the children. -The evening entertainment was fabulous most nights, we did have one night with a solo singer that was pretty poor but the other evenings made up for this! On a evening it’s table service for drinks which is really helpful when you have kids. -Our room overlooked the building site which was noisy early in the morning and did wake me, but the kids and my partner slept through it so it wasn’t too much of a problem. We did received an email prior to visiting to notify us of the work been carried out too so we where expecting it. The rooms are basic but clean with comfy beds. They’re spacious and have everything you need. On holiday we only ever use the room for sleeping and getting ready so we where more than happy with the room. -There’s a number of pools, one main pool that hosts activities such as water polo. Then there is a toddler pool, a small shallower pool next to it and then another large but deep pool. We could always get a sun bed any time of day. All the pools are clean and it seems everyone shares there inflatables/water toys etc which is really great too. -We visited the harbour / old town & coral bay while there for evening meals & beach trips and we also booked to go on the Jolly Roger pirate ship. (We did book the Jolly Roger through our jet2 rep at the hotel but she told us it was a mermaid trip and actually this one only runs on a Sunday so just be careful of this if you book) Overall the holiday really was fantastic and all the staff at Mayfair gardens/smartline work so hard to ensure everyone has a great time.

Got back a week ago from a 2 weeks stay and loved every minute, the room was cleaned pretty much every day even when my lazy son didn’t get out of bed and we put the sign on the door to say do not disturb they waited for him to get his lazy bum out of bed then cleaned the room. The staff was excellent always willing to help and so friendly and welcoming. The pools where great my kids loved them even us adults became kids a few days joining in the fun (trying to dive through rubber rings 🙈) and never did anyone try to spoil the fun.. the food was good we didn’t like the breakfast but that’s not to say it was bad it just wasn’t to our taste but there was plenty of choice and if all else fails there’s toast and cereal but the dinner and evening meals where great lots of choice and something different from around the world every day... iv got to admit the evening entertainment was something else 🙈 but once you had 10 pints a cat sounds great 🤣. The highlight of the holiday was the animation team Vicky, Hollie, Dasha & John these guys was amazing and by the end of the holiday felt like family they treated the children like there own and my youngest son absolutely loved them all he actually cried when he had to come home because he didn’t want to leave them so we obviously had to book our next years holiday back at the Mayfair so he can go back to see them they always made sure everyone was ok and involved in activities and no matter how rowdy the kids got and believe me sometimes i wouldn’t blame them if they got the kids by the arms and legs and threw them in the pool 🤣 but they never lost track of what they are there to do and you can see just how much they love there job and the kids they get a massive 5* from us and we can’t wait to go back and see them.
