Once you’ve worked up an appetite, make for the buffet restaurant – it holds regular themed evenings where you can tuck into tasty Italian, Mexican and barbecue dishes.

Light bites like nachos, sandwiches and jacket potatoes are available at the pool bar. In the mornings, you can grab omelettes here, which get regular mentions on TripAdvisor.

HEALTH & BEAUTY
Evenings start with a children's mini-disco and an activity for adults, like bingo. These events are followed by the likes of magic shows, live music and dancing. There’s a weekly folklore show, too.

At the hotel-run kids' club, kids aged 4-12 will really get to show their creative side here, with drawing, dancing, singing and stories all on the programme. They'll also enjoy some downtime with a movie, and be able to take part in creative play.

There's a waterpark crammed with slides about a minute's stroll from the hotel grounds. It's open May to October, and counts a wave pool, lazy river and free falls among its best bits.
There’s a big pool with a children's section at one end, plus a poolside bar that serves drinks and snacks buffet style.

You get free access to the waterpark which is just across the road from the hotel. There's an impressive list of slides to get excited about - the Kamikaze and Freefall are both speed slides with big drops for those that enjoy a bit of a rush. And there's the Aquatube bodyslide with its twists and turns in the dark. The multi-lane number gives you speedy-fun races, too.
And just so you know, you need to be 120cm plus to use the bigger slides, and 140cm for the Sidewinder. Little ones aged 3-8 years are catered for at the Children's Play Area, and all the family can enjoy the Lazy River and Wave Pool. The waterpark is open May to October.
