With the mercury regularly hitting the high 20s, our brand new base is perfect for escaping the winter blues for some much-needed sun. Starting from Dubai, we’re offering a pair of packed itineraries which cover all the Persian Gulf highlights including Bahrain, Oman and Qatar. Here’s what to expect…
This cosmopolitan hub showcases more than a few record-breaking attractions. There’s the world’s biggest shopping mall which boasts its own larger-than-life aquarium in the foyer, the Burj Khalifa, which just happens to be the tallest building on earth, and palm island – an entirely man-made sand structure. It has to be seen to be believed.
We’ve included overnight stays in our itineraries so you can see the city lit up at night, and take advantage of our exciting day excursions, which include high tea in the seven-star Burj al Arab hotel. Our top tip? After you’ve splashed the cash at the mall, check out the dancing fountain display nearby. It’s even bigger than Vegas’ Bellagio Fountains.
Our new itineraries give you the full spectrum of middle-eastern highlights, from old-world landscapes that would fit nicely in Disney’s Aladdin, to new-age buzzing city landscapes. In Oman, you’ll explore ruins, palaces and traditional souks in the ancient walled city of Muscat.
While, in Abu Dhabi, you’ll visit flashy skyscrapers, lavish mosques and – if you dare – ride some rollercoasters at the world’s biggest indoor theme park. When the sun’s making such a regular appearance, it would be a crime not to hit the beach, which is why Khor Fakkan in the UAE and Khasab in Oman are dedicated beach and snorkelling stops.
In addition to our new Arabian adventures on offer, we’ve added some new ports of call to our long-haul Caribbean itineraries.
There’s Santa Marta in Columbia, a traditional town infused with Spanish vibes and the gateway to South America’s second largest mountain range. Fort De France in Martinique combines French and Caribbean flavours in its food, culture and tourist attractions – so you can snack on crepes and jerk chicken, then tour palm tree-lined parks and sites designed by Gustave Eiffel all in one day. Lastly, Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic is where you’ll discover endless stretches of pure white sand, waterfalls and picturesque mountains.
