Ground-breaking 3D Infographic Illustrates How Thomson Cruises Can Save You over 60% On Average
We’ve produced a cutting edge truly-3D infographic to demonstrate the findings of our recent comparison study looking at cruises versus multi-centre holidays.
Our customers have always told us that our cruises are good value for money, and a great way to see the world, but the potential savings discovered by this study were so exceptional that we wanted to produce an equally amazing illustration to show you the results.
We’ve used stereoscopic imagery to produce this 3D anaglyph in the red-blue (cyan) format.

For our study, we picked three popular cruise itineraries:
- Highlights of the Mediterranean Cruise, for a family of four
- Red Sea Magic Cruise, for a couple
- Tropical Delights Cruise (Caribbean tour), for a couple
We then priced up comparable itineraries using the cheapest flights we could find and three/four star hotels in each location. Our study found that the average saving by choosing the Thomson cruise holiday option over a multi-centre holiday was more than £3,700 – a huge 64% saving!
We also worked out how many hours the extra flights between each location would add up to, and found that in each case the travellers would spend at least one day of their holiday sitting on a plane rather than being able to relax and enjoy some fun activities on their holiday.
Our 3D infographic shows how the cost and time stack up in each case. Tell us what you think: would you rather spend a day of your holiday stuck on an airplane, or would you prefer to spend that day enjoying the facilities and activities available on a cruise ship?
