From best-kept-secret beaches to blink-and-you’ll-miss-them bars, here at Thomson Towers we can’t resist a hidden gem. So, we’ve pulled together the Little Black Book of travel secrets, as discovered by our team. Today, it’s Palma’s turn…
A gorgeous cocktail bar called Abaco.
In the heart of Palma’s old town.
Okay, so this well-known nightspot isn’t exactly a hidden gem, but there’s a reason it’s so famous. And thanks to its huge wooden door, which is almost lost among an entire wall, it’s easy to miss. Abaco is a converted 17th-century mansion modelled on a Medieval palace. Cue mountains of fruit, decadent chandeliers and constant birdsong.
It’s best for after-tapas cocktails. Be there at midnight when rose petals are released from the ‘sky’.
