While most of us have already waved the summer wardrobe off in favour of gloves and scarves, Thomson Cruises passengers will be slipping back into their swimwear today for the first Caribbean itinerary of the season. Transatlantic Sunset promises plenty of pre-Christmas sun, with far-flung destinations like St Lucia and Grenada on the agenda. And because this adults-only cruise features six days at sea, there’s a handful of workshops for passengers to try their hand at. Perfect if you’ve ever wanted to give things like painting and drawing, chocolate-making or book-writing a go.
If you’ve missed the boat on this one, don’t worry – it’s the first of six Caribbean itineraries available between December 2011 and April 2012 on Thomson Dream. Caribbean Treasures, for example, takes in exotic escapes like Antigua and the tiny island of Dominica. And you can team it up with Latin Gems – which features Aruba and Venezuela in the line-up – or Tropical Delights, your ticket to places like St Vincent and Tobago. Plus, with all three options you can add a week in Barbados on dry land.
If you fancy some sun over the festive period, there are still cabins available on the Christmas Getaway cruise. It departs on the 18th December and ticks off the likes of Panama, Colombia and Costa Rica. And last but not least, the adults-only Caribbean Crossing itinerary sets sail in April. Ports of call on this one include Grenada, the British Virgin Islands and St Kitts, to name a few. And if you want to splash out, you can team it with Tropical Delights to create a 19-night cruise.
Whichever itinerary floats your boat, you’ve got a choice of 9 UK airports to jet off from, with weekly flights from London Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham. Plus, because all tips and service charges are included in our prices, you won’t have to splash the cash once you’re onboard.
