Sharm El Sheikh FCO Travel Advice – Your Questions Answered
Following the change in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) travel advice advising against all but essential air travel to Sharm El Sheikh, we can confirm we’ve cancelled all outbound flights to Sharm El Sheikh up to and including Thursday 12th November. What if I’ve booked to travel in this period (from now until Thursday 12th November)?
All customers booked to travel to Sharm El Sheikh in this period will be provided with a full refund. As a priority, we’re contacting customers due to travel tomorrow and ask those travelling later in the week to please bear with us as we manage this evolving situation.
If you’re booked to travel within this period and want to change to an alternative holiday, we’re happy to help. We’re offering customers a £30 per person reduction on future holidays taken before the 30th of April 2016.
What about holidays after the 12th November?
At the moment we’re working closely with the Foreign Commonwealth Office to monitor the situation in Sharm El Sheikh and only cancelling holidays up to and including the 12th November. Outside of those dates, normal booking conditions apply.
We are awaiting news on further dates and when we have more news, we’ll release a statement to let customers know how they should be proceeding.
What if I’m flying to Hurghada in Egypt?
This change of advice from the Government is affecting flights to and from Sharm El Sheikh. All flights to Hurghada will continue as scheduled. As above, we’re continuing to monitor the situation and will update when we have more news.
I’m in Sharm El Sheikh at the moment, what’s happening?
Following the Government’s announcement, we are liaising closely with them and will share more information as soon as possible. Our holiday reps are regularly visiting all hotels and can be contacted for the most up to date information when it’s available. Customers are advised to keep an eye on the noticeboards in the hotels or our website for the latest information.
