New Routes From Stansted To Florida On The 787 Dreamliner
Mickey Mouse ears at the ready. You’ll soon be able to fly from Stansted to Orlando on one of our state-of-the-art Dreamliner planes…
We’ll admit, we’re massive Walt Disney World fans. There’s nowhere else you can have an emotional encounter with the Princess Elsa, squeal in delight at a parade – judgement-free – and eat something shaped like Mickey Mouse ears for every meal.
So we were all too excited when we heard we’ll soon be able to fly to the land where dreams are made on a Thomson Dreamliner plane.
What’s different about the Dreamliner?
First off, the interior of a Dreamliner is larger than your average aircraft so it feels more spacious and is easier to stretch out. The windows are 30% bigger, too. So, as the plane descends, you’ll get good views of the Sunshine State no matter where you’re sitting.
Now for the science-y bit. We’ve tailored the cabin pressure so more oxygen can be absorbed into your blood. This means you’ll feel fresher when you get off the plane. The Dreamliner generates 60% less noise than standard jets for peaceful in-flight naps. And there’s also mood lighting which mimics dawn and dusk, helping to get you in-sync with the new time zone.
When can I go?
You’ll be able to fly from Stansted to Orlando on a Dreamliner from summer 2016. Just in time for the opening of the brand new Frozen-themed ride at Epcot. This slow boat, It’s A Small World-type adventure, will transport riders into the magical world of Frozen, through the kingdom of Arendale. As you’d expect, there’ll be plenty of scenes and songs from the film throughout the ride. All together now, let it go, let it gooooooo…
