“Hot off the press…Island Escape”

is to switch to All Inclusive from 2013…

  • Island Cruises go All Inclusive

Cruiseliner IslandThere’s been a fair bit of excitement at TUI HQ this week – especially in our Cruise department. So why the buzz? Well, the decision has been made for Island Cruises – sister brand of Thomson Cruises – to move to All Inclusive from March next year. That means meals and drinks on the Island Escape vessel will become part of the package. And, with tips and service charges also included in the price, there’s even less to worry about on board. Here’s what Fraser Ellacott, Managing Director of Island Cruises, had to say…

“All Inclusive is a very popular option with our customers already, so it makes perfect sense to offer it as standard. Couples and families now won’t have to worry about budgeting for their drinks, snacks, meals and tips on board, as this will all be included in the price of their holiday. By going All Inclusive we also hope to appeal to ‘new to cruise’ customers looking for a laid-back cruise with top-class entertainment, 24-hour dining and fantastic ports of call.”

In other news, Island Cruises have also launched their summer and winter programmes for 2013. And they’ll be introducing 10 new ports of call with it. Customers will get to see Turkey’s Kusadasi, explore historical Athens – from the port of Piraeus – stop by Calgar in stylish Sardinia, and tick off Corfu, Katakolon and Mykonos in Greece. More new faces come in the form of party island Ibiza, and A-list favourites Nice and St Raphael in France.
