Turkey provides some much needed warm weather in early spring, with the average temperature for April sitting at 21C. And only 20 minutes from the airport are the sumptuous pools at the TUI FAMILY LIFE Tropical Resort in Sarigerme. There are three to choose from, complete with epic waterslides, plus our kids’ clubs for 3-11 year olds that run six days a week.
Majorca is a family favourite and it’s not hard to see why. It’s the largest of the Balearics and full to the brim with beautiful beaches. It’s ideal to take the kids there during the Easter weekend, as the mercury won’t yet have hit the sweltering heights of the summer. Spend a week at the TUI FAMILY LIFE Coma Gran to be close to the beach and the centre of town. The kids’ club runs here at Easter and hosts themed events like egg hunts and card making. There’s also a splashpark for some much needed cooling down.
If you’re looking for a long-haul family holiday with lots of sun, stick with the Easter theme and send the kids down the rabbit hole with an Alice-in-Wonderland-inspired trip to Walt Disney World in Florida. Meet the Easter Bunny in the Magic Kingdom, and spot the White Rabbit darting through the crowds as you nibble on your Easter eggs. The weather rests in the high 20s in the spring so you’ll get a real taste of summer.
The warm average temperature in April makes it a great time to visit Cyprus, with highs of 23C. The family friendly TUI SENSATORI Resort Aphrodite Hills caters to both parents and kids. Practise your shot at the championship golf course and get pampered at the award-winning spa while the kids hang out at the Play House children’s club. Or, take your little daredevils to Pissouri Beach – a 15-minute drive from Aphrodite Hills – to have a go at jet-skiing and paragliding. There's also the Watermania Water Park, 30 minutes away in Fasouri.
The Canaries are well known for being warm throughout the year, and by the Easter break it will really have started to heat up in Lanzarote. Take an educational day trip to Timanfaya National Park where the kids can ride camels and learn about the volcanic eruption that created the barren landscape 300 years ago. Stay at the TUI FAMILY LIFE Flamingo Beach if you need a bit more space to spread out, as these apartments come with kitchenettes alongside the three restaurants on site.
The TUI SENSATORI Resort Barut Fethiye is edged by the Mediterranean Sea and thickly-wooded mountains. Along with spectacular views, it offers top restaurants and a peaceful spa.
There’s plenty to keep you busy at the TUI FAMILY LIFE Aeneas Resort and Spa by Atlantica, from the huge pool to the long list of activities. Plus, it’s had a bit of a makeover.
The Ramada Plaza Resort and Suites boasts a best-of-both-worlds location with a lakefront spot just off International Drive. There’s also a free shuttle to the big-name theme parks.
