For health and safety reasons, children travelling with TUI must be over 14 days old.
Yes. If you’re travelling with young children and need a buggy, we’ll carry it for free in addition to your luggage allowance. So, you can bring your pushchair into the terminal and through security. Once you reach the gate, it’ll be stored with the rest of the hold luggage during the flight, and you’ll get it back with your suitcases at baggage claim. Car seats are also carried extra to your luggage allowance, and these can be checked in with the rest of your bags. If you’re flying with another airline, make sure to check their rules before you travel – but most will carry buggies free of charge.
It’s fine to bring both liquid and solid baby food with you in your hand luggage, plus powdered formula. You’ll just need to give any baby food or milk to staff when you go through airport security as it will be screened separately.
All TUI planes have baby changing facilities in the toilets on board – just check with cabin crew to find out where they are on your plane. If you’re travelling with one of our partner airlines, you’ll need to contact them directly for information about facilities on board.
You can expect complimentary meals on flights longer than seven hours for all passengers over the age of two. You can bring your own baby food and milk – just let us know if you’d like any bottles heated up.
Children under two will need to sit on an adult’s lap during the flight, and you’ll be provided with an infant strap for the journey. Alternatively, you can pay extra to book them their own seat. If you do, they’ll get their own luggage – but if you choose not to, infants under two still get a 10kg baggage allowance, which is perfect for packing changing bags and essentials.
Just like on the plane, children under two will need to sit on an adult’s lap. Just so you know, only one child is allowed on the lap of each adult.
You can pre-order a cot online when booking a holiday at some of our family hotels. Otherwise, you’ll need to contact us before you travel to request one for your baby. Just so you know, we can’t guarantee it’ll be available when you arrive, and at some hotels, you’ll have to pay an extra charge.
Each hotel offers something different, but at our TUI BLUE For Families hotels you can expect kids’ clubs for little ones of all ages, and interactive sessions for parents and babies. Each TUI BLUE For Families hotel also has its own Baby Lounge, which is stocked with microwaves, changing tables and bottle warmers. And, when it comes to mealtimes, children have their own section at the buffet, and there’s a spot for preparing baby food, too.
You can hire buggies at most TUI-owned hotels, but you’ll need to check with the hotel you’re staying at for more information.
The TUI BLUE Mai Khao Lak offers private villas in its accommodation catalogue, and it’s set on an unspoilt beach.
With an exciting waterpark and a beachfront location, the TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Blue is perfect for family getaways.
This family-friendly hotel has had a complete makeover for 2019, so you can expect a state-of-the-art waterpark, freshly refurbished rooms and a big kids' club.
