When it comes to clubbing destinations – the White Isle is the most famous of the lot. This party playground attracts A-list DJs and flocks of celebs every year, and it boasts some of the biggest and best clubs in the world. There’s the 5,000-capacity Amnesia, which is popular with dance artists, and has its own custom sound system and greenhouse terrace where you can party ‘til sunrise. Privilege is officially the world’s largest nightclub, according to Guinness World Records, and has a swimming pool onsite, plus open-air dance floors. And, Ushuaia is where the daytime parties are at. Here you can expect glam partygoers, the VIP treatment, and the likes of David Guetta, Martin Garrix and Kygo in the lineup.
San Antonio is the hub of Ibiza’s nightlife scene. Stay at the Hotel Brisa, which is five minutes’ walk from the centre of town, and you’ll be within reach of the best clubs, bars and boat parties. Playa d’en Bossa is the more low-key resort. It’s got huge clubs nearby, but is near Ibiza’s chilled-out Old Town, too. Book your break at the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza and you can make the most of the stylish beach club onsite.
Only in Zante’s vibrant party town, Laganas, can you combine Ibiza-style nightlife with activities like turtle-spotting on the beach. By day, you can explore the island’s spectacular shoreline, which is made up of hidden coves, sea caves and beautiful beaches lapped by turquoise waters. Activities along the shore include turtle-spotting, scuba diving and whizzing around on a banana boat. By night, you can head out to the neon-lit avenue - which is home to more than 50 vibrant venues -including karaoke bars, live music spots, British-style pubs and big-name clubs.
Rescue and Zeros are the main clubs here. Rescue hosts Zante’s infamous paint parties and glow stick raves every week, while Zeros is known for its professional flair bartenders, who’ll whip up all varieties of cocktail, plus fire-breathers and bar games to keep you entertained. Stay in the heart of Laganas at the Vivian Hotel to make the most of its central location. Its outdoor pool is surrounded by sun loungers, and has a poolside bar where you can get the party started.
Kavos has been Corfu’s party capital since the Eighties, and it’s still a 24/7 party town packed full of bars and clubs. Revellers head to the main strip to dance the night away, and then gather for sunrise on the beach after a whole night of partying. Buzz and Future Club are the places you can’t miss on a Kavos night out. Future attracts big name DJs throughout the season, and Ministry of Sound and Cream often take over on special club nights for a huge rave.
If you want to work off your hangover, there are loads of activities down at the beach. You’ve got watersports like jet-skiing, banana boats and water-skiing and, for the daredevils, bungee jumping and cage catapulting. The Ekati Hotel is a wallet-friendly option that puts you close to the action, and has its own 24-hour hotel bar, pool and Jacuzzi®. Or, opt for the first-class Olympian Village which is 10 minutes from the beach and Kavos’ nightlife hotspots, and has fresh, modern décor plus a huge pool with a resident DJ.
Two words – Spring Break. Travel to Cancun for this epic holiday, - which usually runs from the end of March until mid-April - and you can join a huge beach party and some amazing club nights. The Inception Music Festival is the biggest Spring Break event in the world. It runs for a whole month, and features artists like DJ Snake and Fedde Le Grand.
Cancun is an epic party spot the rest of the year, too. The clubs in the Hotel Zone attract guest DJs like Flo Rida and 50 Cent, and boast entertainers, cutting-edge light shows and an electric atmosphere. Coco Bongo is Cancun’s infamous party venue – you’ll have a clubbing experience like no other here. Flying acrobats, live bands, bar-top conga lines and constant confetti showers are the norm. And, no two nights are ever the same, if you need an excuse to go back again and again.
The Hard Rock Hotel Cancun is a popular place to stay for Spring Break if you want to be right in the heart of the action. It has a stunning beachfront location and rooftop pools with views of the ocean, plus live music and foam parties on most days. Further along the Hotel Zone, there’s the beachside Riu Cancun, which is just 15 minutes’ walk from the bars and clubs in the area. It also has its own Pacha nightclub onsite, and you’ll get complimentary entry and drinks if you stay there.
Just about everything in Las Vegas is OTT – huge buffets, amazing shows, rollercoasters on top of buildings, and, of course, the biggest and best parties. There are pool parties, massive clubs, quirky bars and casinos to choose from. If you’re heading to Vegas when the weather gets toasty, a pool party is the only way to cool down in the heat. Take your pick from LGBT Pride parties at the Luxor Hotel, Grecian-themed soirees at the Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino, and sophisticated daytime parties at the beach club in Mandalay Bay Resort & Spa. You can even take a limo ride or party bus up and down the street and have your own two-in-one private rave and tour of the strip.
Stay at the MGM Grand and you’ll have 15 restaurants, a concert venue, and a five-storey club right on your doorstep. The Wet Republic pool parties here attract DJs like Calvin Harris and Tiesto, and after the party, you can head to the Hakkasan nightclub which has been voted one of the best in the world.
Old-school Ayia Napa is one of Europe’s original clubbing destinations, and it’s just as popular with party-goers now as it was back in the day. There are lively karaoke bars, buzzing clubs and foam parties along with quieter beach bars and trendy, modern restaurants – basically, something for every kind of partygoer. Among the nightlife spots lining the square, you’ll also find loads of themed bars, clubs and restaurants. There’s Bedrock Inn which is a Flintstone-themed bar, Wild West restaurant and the Pirates Inn, where pirates walk around the club serving customers.
The Senator Hotel is one of the closest spots for enjoying Ayia Napa’s nightlife. It’s a great base for chilling, too, with its smart, stylish interiors and three pools. The family-run Green Bungalows are a great budget-friendly option for groups of friends – they even received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2014. The nearest beach is 10 minutes away and the apartments are self-catered, so you can make your own meals and save the pennies for those important nights out.
The strip’s biggest hotel, the MGM Grand, lines up pool parties headlined by famous DJs, a supersized nightclub and 15 restaurants.
The Riu Cancun is just 15 minutes’ walk from the bars and clubs of central Cancun, and has its own Pacha nightclub onsite.
Fergus Style Bahamas is an adults-only hotel which is right next door to the beach as well as some of Ibiza’s best music venues, which means it’s the perfect place to stay if you fancy a lively getaway.
