Well, the time’s finally come. After five years sailing as part of our fleet, Thomson Majesty set off on its final cruise on 19th November 2017…
Since joining us in 2012, Majesty has carried more than 300,000 passengers, clocked up an impressive 323,714 nautical miles, and become a firm fleet favourite with our loyal cruisers. But, after 10 seasons of cruising, it’s time to say goodbye.
This isn’t the end though. Along with our new name – Marella Cruises – we’re bringing in box-fresh itineraries, destinations, and even a new addition to our fleet.
So, let’s meet the rest of the fleet. We’ve picked out some of Majesty’s most well-loved features, and matched them up with some of our other ships that we’re certain you’ll love.
Seasoned Marella cruisers know that our friendly service is second to none. Whichever ship you pick, our crew always make sure that you feel right at home. Marella Spirit’s been with us for 14 years, so it’s had plenty of time to perfect its can’t-do-enough attitude. If that sounds like your kind of ship, Marella Spirit will be based in Malaga, Spain for summer 2018, ticking off highlights like the Portuguese capital Lisbon, and Barcelona, as well as Gibraltar, at the tip of Spain.
Spice of life
If you liked getting your teeth into Majesty’s variety of restaurants, Marella Dream takes things up a notch. It sees Thomson Majesty’s selection of five restaurants, and raises it six. With options including the Kora La pan-Asian joint and a hot-stone grill, you’ll be sure to find something to get your appetite going. Marella Dream’s spending summer based in Palma, Majorca, calling in at Corsica, Ibiza, and Rome. Or, cruise next winter for stops at Lanzarote, Madeira and Morocco.
Time for a change?
Looking for something a little different? Why not try one of our newer, bigger ships – Marella Discovery, Marella Discovery 2, or our newest addition, Marella Explorer. In summer 2018, you can sail from the UK on Marella Discovery to the likes of Norway, St Petersburg, and Copenhagen. Marella Discovery 2, meanwhile, will cover Corfu, Santorini and Athens. And, Marella Explorer will make its maiden voyage from Majorca, visiting St Tropez, Cannes and Florence. Plus, in winter, both Marella Discovery 2 and Marella Explorer will be exploring the Caribbean.
Although we’re sad to see Thomson Majesty go, we’ll carry on cruising with our shiny new name and, of course, the same friendly welcome.
