Embrace your inner swashbuckler on our Caribbean Pirates Sailaway excursion along the coast of St Vincent. Parrot and eye patch optional…

We’ve got exciting news for fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean saga. Captain Jack is back, and the crew are set to start filming the 5th instalment, Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, in 2015. We don’t know about you, but our timbers are shivering in anticipation.

If you consider yourself a ‘Pirates’ aficionado – or just a sucker for idyllic hideaway coves – then prepare to walk the plank for an adventure on the Seven Seas. Well, the Caribbean Sea, to be exact. Here’s how you can follow in Mr Depp’s footsteps…

    Caribbean Pirates Sailaway excursion.

Your half-day quest will take you along the north-west coast of St Vincent. It’s the largest of the 32 islands that make up St Vincent and the Grenadines, and is home to the capital, Kingstown. While this bustling town is all colonial charm and cobbled streets, elsewhere you’ll find the yin to Kingstown’s yang in the form of deserted beaches and untouched forest. In other words, perfect treasure-burying terrain.

For one, you’ll be setting sail on a handmade schooner used in the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean, and – quite frankly – what’s good enough for Hollywood royalty like Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley is absolutely fine by us. What’s more, you’ll be dropping anchor in the brilliantly-named Wallilabou Bay which, during filming, was transformed in to the make-believe ‘Port Royal’. We suggest grabbing a red head scarf and recreating some scenes for your friends back at home. En route, you can take in the surrounding lush valleys and spend time kicking back on the island’s black sand beaches – a nod to its volcanic beginnings.

Thomson Celebration’s Tropical Delights itinerary ticks off some of the Caribbean’s big hitters – you’ll dock in Barbados, Guadeloupe, St Lucia, Grenada and Tobago. Not forgetting St Vincent, of course.

    Sail for 7 nights from the 7th December 2014, 4th January, 1st February, 1st March or 29th March 2015.
