The fun had to stop for a while in 2020. But, behind the scenes, the Universal Orlando Resort team have been preparing for it to start again. They’ve put some new measures in place, designed to keep you and your family safe on your next fun-filled trip. Here’s what you can expect…
Your health is really important to the team at Universal Orlando Resort, so they’ve been busy making a few changes to ensure your safety. They’ve increased the already rigorous cleaning procedures in the parks, with extra cleaning taking place in spots likely to be touched often. Please don’t travel to the parks if you’re not feeling well, and avoid contact with people who are sick. Before you can enter, you’ll need to have your temperature checked.
Pack a face mask, as you’ll need to wear it at all times, including on rides. It must cover your nose and mouth, and fit snugly against the sides of your face. The only exceptions are when you’re eating, on water rides where you are likely to get wet, during photo opportunities with characters, and on slides and in pools at Universal’s Volcano Bay water theme park. If you’d like to take your mask off while in the parks, find one of the U-Rest areas to take a short break. Social distancing measures apply.
You must maintain social distancing measures at all times, keeping at least six feet between you and other parties. There are floor markings around the parks to help with this, and Universal Orlando Resort team members are on hand to answer questions and direct you. Wash your hands often, and use the hand sanitiser provided around the parks before boarding rides. Contactless payments are available in some locations, and you can order food and drink via the Official Universal Orlando Resort App to reduce contact with staff.
The number of guests allowed into the parks and on attractions has been reduced to ensure social distancing can take place. Team members will wear face masks at all times, plus have their temperatures checked regularly. They’ve also had extensive training to help keep you safe. If you’re visiting with someone who needs a wheelchair or small children who need a pushchair, you can still rent these when you arrive. They’re deep-cleaned between each guest.
