    ABOUT THE HOTEL

    • Official Rating: Class A

A kid-friendly beach, two pools and plenty of evening entertainment – little ones have it made at the St George Gardens Family Club.

Beach days are a piece of cake at this hotel, thanks to its setting by St George Beach, a rocky bay that’s sheltered from big waves. There’s a stone courtyard by the water, which is stocked with sunbeds and umbrellas.

A few yards from the seafront, you’ll find one of the pools. It’s a curvy number with a bar, plus there’s a paddling pool for little splashers to play in. Head inside, meanwhile, and there’s another pool, as well as a buffet restaurant and an action-packed kids’ club.

    Brilliant time

Stayed at St. George’s gardens in August 2019 for 2 weeks for our Honeymoon with our two children 5 & 3. We had an amazing time! Food was lovely such a huge variety for all inclusive! Always something on offer for both adults and children. The restaurant staff where all lovely and all welcoming and friendly and they always made my 2 children smile and laugh! My only concern about the restaurant is the metal spoons that get left in the trays get very hot! I burned myself on one of the spoons! I think you Need to get spoons with rubber handles as thank god it wasn’t one of the children touching it. Having said that, they went out there way to ensure my son could have the food provided as he’s allergic to egg. The chef would personally walk round with us telling us what he can and can’t have which we really appreciated. Rooms where absolutely fine, spacious and always cleaned to a high standard! The maids where fantastic!! One morning we all woke up late and rushed down for breakfast and didn’t have time to tidy up, when we returned the maid had still made the beds and even picked up the kids pjs off the floor and folded them nicely on the bed for us which we thought was really sweet. The sea by the hotel is very very rocky... almost dangerous for small children as it’s very slippery ! Defo invest in some sea shoes before you go! Although good for snorkling, BUT if you go out of the hotel and get a bus outside the hotel with the water slides you can easily get a bus to coral bay beach which is beautiful! And only a 10/15 min journey ! Clear sandy beach ! The pool area was lovely. Stella being a huge asset to to the hotel! She needs a pay rise for all her hard work! And get the lady some new uniform! She said she had the same uniform for 5 years and one of her T-shirt’s has a hole in it! She defo deserves it ! Ice creams available always from the pool bar .. and milkshakes that taste exactly like McDonald’s milkshakes !! Snack bar is from 3pm, where you can get burgers chips and nuggets without leaving the pool area (burgers are fairly basic but edible ) The kids disco was great fun for my little ones who are still singing the songs at home 2 months on ! Milly and Georgia where brilliant with all the kids ! But we thought it was a little unfair that they shortened the kids disco in our second week due to a lot of family’s going home as there were less kids. Evening entertainment was great! The African show and Adele where brill ! Milly and Georgia singing was not so great.. but they gave it a go! The pirate boat was bloody amazing!! If you have time during your stay it’s a MUST !! Great fun for all the family!! We also did the Noah’s ark trip to the zoo followed by the blue lagoon which didn’t disappoint! Oh and take a trip down to the big shopping centre.. “jumbo” was the biggest shop EVER containing literally everything and anything! I didn’t want to leave! And was gutted I only had a 20kg luggage allowance otherwise I would of bought half the shop haha! Don’t listen to all the negative reviews, a lot of people where very rude during our stay complaining and moaning that standards weren’t as good as the sister hotel and being very rude to staff ! Next time maybe they should book there instead!! People are far too fussy ! All in all a fantastic family moon had by all :) Thank you !!

Had a great week at St George but on arrival after reading reviews we knew what to expect with the welcome sandwiches they were laughable terrible really anyway from start to finish the holiday was fantastic very spacious studio with separate bedroom with hairdryer powerful shower, rooms cleaned everyday with a blue beach towel which you change at the pool bar, food was very good and a good variety pool was very clean and great music played all day but not to loud activities were good but not pushed to do them, beach very rocky so need beach shoes fantastic place I would definitely go back couldn't fault the place
    Truly Awful!

Anyone who likes this hotel is either writing a fake review or has clearly never been to a decent one. The beds are the most uncomfortable ones I have ever had the misfortune to sleep in. We were supposed to have twin beds but they clearly cannot read and the food was the worst ever. Cold chips, under cooked eggs and a poor vegetable and salad selection. I felt sorry for any vegetarians as there were no meat alternatives. The head chef stood about in the dining hall watching people eat and asking the kids for a kiss which I found most disturbing. The only saving grace was the the view from the balcony but the hotel itself needs as lot of money spending on it to get it up to scratch but the owner pumps the cash into the sister hotel next door which is only slightly better. Once they have your money they do not care about you and service is non existent. They cannot even be bothered to clear your dinner plates and we had all three courses left on the table on a number of occasions. Stella at the pool bar was lovely and she is a real asset to the hotel however, Stella in the restaurant was lazy and miserable and kept sneaking off for a break when plates needed clearing. Security is also non existent and the people from neighbouring apartments just wandered in and helped themselves to sun loungers near the beach front during the day and weren't even asked to leave as the security man spent most of the day sitting in the bar area oblivious to it. There was not even a sign to say the sun loungers were for hotel guests only yet there was one at the sister hotel. The entertainment was at the hotel next door and it was diabolical but we kind of expected it to be. We were awoken by a party in the pool at 3 am in the morning at the neighbouring hotel (St George) and they weren't even guests at either hotel. When we went to reception to report it we had to wake the man on duty as we could hear him snoring in the office and he never even recorded the incident. I swear the staff of this severely neglected hotel need seriously retraining and people need to stop coming here until the tight owner spends some money on it. I am trying to think of something positive to say but I cannot think of anything. We paid 4 star prices and we were ripped off as this is a 2.5 star at best.
FANTASTIC - St Georges Gardens Holiday
    15 Oct , 2019 4ATS
Me and my wife stayed at St Georges Gardens Hotel from 25 September 2019 to 9 October 2019 All inclusive. Firstly On arrival the room we were given was for four people we didn't mind paying under occupancy. The room was more like an apartment, very spacious one bedroom, living room with kitchenette, free air conditioning and patio doors leading onto a large patio dining area. It was very clean with maids coming in everyday making the beds, cleaning up and providing new bath towels, small shampoos etc. Food was very good, Breakfast from 7.00 am to 10 am, Lunch 12.00pm to 2/3/pm and evening meal from 7pm to 10 pm so there is no need to rush yourselves. There is a large variety of foods to try only one slight grumble was that on the second week at the end of the holiday for only two days it was short on variety of food. The pool is lovely with a poolside bar and the lady Stella working behind the bar a true asset to the Hotel very friendly and efficient at providing drinks for everyone while working on her own. There are ample sunbeds and also well kept green areas to sunbath as well. This is a very well organised hotel with transfer to and from the Hotel on time. Just to mention just outside the hotel is a very good Taverner and a very well stocked general store if you want to venture nearby. We made so many friends here as well and we will be re-booking for next year. keep up the hard work St George Gardens Hotel Craig and Enas from Birmingham

We have been recurring visitors to the Gardens for the past 5 years and it never ceases to amaze us. First of all, the view is to die for.. I don't know many places where you can relax on the seafront without paying for sunbeds. The food is to an excellent standard and has a great variety. The entertainment was spot on and the animation team were excellent and very engaging with the customers, particularly this year the animation team were superb and really went the extra mile in making sure everybody was having fun. Last but not least there is the gem that is Stella on the pool bar, she works her socks off to ensure everybody is having their needs met and never complains no matter how busy she is, she is not just a member of staff but a great family friend to us now. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and the cleaners were also very friendly. Every year it just keeps getting better. Roll on gardens 2020!!!
