Riu Naiboa

Stayed here with a friend for two weeks. We took the reviews with a pinch of salt and thought it won’t be as bad as people say. By day 4 I was in agony with stomach pains and vomiting. I was awfully unwell for 7 days and remained in the hotel room unable to eat and barely drink. The on-site doctor was very unhelpful, just money grabbing. Was likely to be food poisoning or a parasite! The mosquito bites are something else!!! Even repellents do not seem to work and multiple anti histamines and creams don’t settle the bites one bit. We stayed in the room in the evenings because we didn’t want any more bites. The food selection is poor, same thing everyday - that’s if you can eat anything anyway. And birds fly into the restaurant and pick at the fruit selection. Excursions out of the hotel were good but pricey. We had to cancel one because I was unwell and luckily got our money back. Otherwise pool area was lovely and very close to the beach. Hotel room was cleaned every day and all staff seemed friendly and polite. Wouldn’t come back here. And I’m not one to write reviews complaining!

I was worried about the negative reviews about this hotel we came has a family of nine the hotel was lovely and clean so much choice on meals staff very friendly rooms really clean pool was excellent close to the beach and water park when the entertainment was on the acts were really good from check in to check out was quick and efficient always polite please don’t go with negative reviews about this hotel like we did can’t believe how people can moan about staff not being friendly or food was horrible I think they stayed at a different hotel to be honest will definitely come back to this hotel and recommend 100%
