Holidays to Havana take you back in time. You can drive a classic American car through bustling, jazz-filled streets while exploring Cuba's recent revolutionary history.
Havana’s a city of opposites. You’ll see classic American cars from the 40s and 50s cruising past modern beach resorts and shopping centres. The rustic cathedrals and churches in Havana’s old town are within walking distance of bustling, narrow streets full of pastel-coloured bars, clubs and restaurants.
Cuba’s recent eventful past has meant that tourists from all over the world flock to Havana to see it up close. The country became what it is today after a successful uprising in the 1950s, which was led by Fidel Castro. Head into the centre and wander around the Plaza of the Revolution. Here, you’ll see light-up monuments to Che Guevara and Castro plastered across the facades of the museums.
Just because Havana’s a bustling city, that doesn’t mean it sacrifices its Caribbean landscape or scenery. Along with the historic buildings and bar-loaded promenades, you’ll find long, white-sand beaches that stretch off into the distance.
