Pension Sonnenhof

We booked a last minute holiday to Austria from August 3rd because the price was so very competitive with the late deals, in comparison to a week in England! We had not completed much research, so we were hoping that the choice was going to be a good one. It was indeed. Everything about our holiday was perfect. Pension Sonnenhof in Söll.was in a quiet position on the edge of town, a mere 5 minutes walk into the centre. Our host Harry was one of the best hosts that we have ever had the good fortune to meet. 3 course meals were optional, however we ate in whenever the chef cooked (5 nights per week) as the food was great! We had a range of Italian, Austrian and English cooking during our stay and all the meals were delicious. The whole building is immaculate inside and out. There are plenty of attractive seating areas outside with fabulous views and again so very peaceful. To top the lot Harry has a smashing cold fridge which is always stocked with cold soft drinks and beers, you help yourself and just add a tick on the list on the wall. It’s known as Harry’s bar! Our room 109 was at the back of the Sonnenhof with views of the mountains. The shower room had been recently refurbished and was in excellent condition. The beds were comfortable with lovely quality bedding. Again the cleanliness of our room from Harry’s staff is top notch. There were many events taking place in Soll whilst we there and the local people make you feel welcome whenever you joined them. We had a free bus ticket to jump on the local Kaiser Jet service and could travel up and down the valley to see other resorts. The weather was perfect every day, sunny with blue skies. This was a wonderful holiday and we will definitely return to Söll and to the Pension Sonnenhof.

We have just returned from a week at the Pension Sonnenhof with our friends. We spent a week walking and cycling in the local area. The Hotel is small and very friendly and Harry can’t do enough for you. Lovely simple breakfast every day. The whole place is spotless. Harry has great knowledge of the area and all the facilities on offer and speaks perfect English. We only had evening meal once as we ate out in the village most nights but it was very good and very reasonable. The whole area is truly stunning. Thanks for a great week Harry. We will definitely be coming back to the area in the future.

I've just come back from a 4 day ski trip to Soll and stayed in one of the spacious apartments at the Sonnenhof. It had everything you would need; fully fitted modern kitchen with new appliances, lovely bathroom with double head shower, spacious bedroom, lounge, 2 flatscreen tv's, fast wifi etc... The Sonnenhof is about 10 minutes walk to the village centre with some superb restaurants on offer, and there is a regular ski bus which also takes you there and to the main lift as well if you want to save your legs (stop is about 100yrds away). But what really made the accommodation stand out for us was the service you get from owner Harry. From the initial booking, with fast email responses, to local information and recommendations. My wife was ill on our first day and needed to see the doctor urgently. Harry very quickly offered to drop her at the surgery. That kind of personal touch really goes a long way. When we next return to Soll, we wouldn't hesitate to book our stay here again. Many thanks again! Matt & Lisa
