Mühle Resort 1900

We stayed at the Muhle Resort for 4 nights in September as part of a hiking trip round Austria. The hotel and the staff were fantastic and we had a brilliant stay. The little touches (such as a drink on arrival and afternoon snacks/cakes) are great. Our room was one of the more old fashioned rooms but this wasn't a problem at all - there was plenty of space and we had a small balcony looking out onto the woods. We stayed half board and the breakfast and evening meals were fantastic. Drinks seemed fairly reasonably priced and the bar area is lovely. We only really used the pool in the spa area but the facilities seemed good. We'd love to stay again if we're in the area!

We stayed the week before Easter.Oustanding location,beautiful contemporary hotel. All the hotels amenities are thoughtfully designed and are quite simply stunning. Probably the best Spa facilities of any hotel I've stayed in. The restaurant presented us with wonderfully varied ,gorgeous dishes night after night. Recently picked up a late ski deal with Crystal at the hotel Muhle in Obergurgl. The Crystal rooms are in the annex which is only 30m from the main hotel. The annex rooms were classed as 3.5 star but were absolutely fine. The decor was fabulous if you were colour blind as everything was clean and well appointed- just nothing quite went! The beds were comfortable but I found the pillows lacked support as they were very soft. We had Austrian twin beds, a large sofa, a table and 2 comfy chairs and a small shower room. The main hotel is gorgeous. Very stylish decor. The staff are amazing and the food delicious (mostly 7 course dinners). I still haven’t lost the weight I put on! Gluten free food was no problem. Afternoon tea is served 3.30-4.30 ( a bit early in my mind) but is worth getting back for! Fabulous. Our only slight disappointment with the food was the plate of cold cuts on arrival ( 9pm). We were starving and there really wasn’t enough to eat. The spa was amazing. I’m not a spa person but actually really enjoyed this one. There’s a small swimming pool and lots of saunas and steam rooms with salt and honey diy scrubs. Upstairs in the spa is a beautiful lounge with a log fire and a buffet of fruit, open sandwiches, cake and very nice flavoured water. Loads of beds/ recliner chairs- so relaxing. Dressing gowns and slippers are provided. The hotel is situated halfway between obergurgl and hochgurgl. For skiing this was amazing as the ski bus stops right outside going both ways, so zero walking! The hotel also has a minibus for lifts to and from Obergurgl. The ski room was the swishest I’ve ever seen ( and I’ve seen a lot!) The hotel has an arrangement with Riml ski hire who will pick you up and take you to the ski hire shop and then chauffeur your shoes back to the hotel ready for your return! At the end of the holiday, no need to take the skis back, Riml will collect. AMAZING!! What not to love. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel. We loved it. A fabulous find. Would I recommend- absolutely. If you’re on a budget, go for the annex rooms- they’re fine. Would I return- I would love to!
