If you’re looking for a place to see the city skyline, try the Top of the Rock. The Rockefeller Center isn’t just famous for its Christmas-time ice-rink, it also lines up three sky-high observation decks. It might not be as tall as the Empire State Building, but it means less queues and a skyline shot with the world-famous skyscraper in sight. Up on level 67, there’s a glittering Swarovski installation, a light-up floor and panoramic views. If you’ve got a head for heights, there’s also an open-deck on the 70th floor.
