Menorca’s capital was hot property back in the 18th century. It’s got one of the deepest natural harbours in the world, so all the superpowers of the day wanted in on it. It’s no wonder Nelson made it the British fleet’s base. Fast-forward to today and, while yachts may have replaced galleons, the harbour is still the big draw.
