At this hotel, a good-sized pool is backed up by a trio of bars and a Moroccan à la carte nestled in the gardens.
This hotel is set in lovely gardens. Inside, it’s all marble floors and ornately-tiled ceilings. There’s a courtesy bus to Gueliz’s modern shops – about 25 minutes’ walk on from there takes you to the medina.
There’s a large pool for everyone, plus a separate children’s pool. A buffet restaurant takes care of meals, and the à la carte place specialises in Moroccan tagines. A pair of bars take care of evenings.

It was alright...
Stayed at the Riu for a week. It's was alright to use for a base for the week whilst we went out and about. The room we had was really nice and had alright views of the swimming pool and lunch resturant. The room was spacious enough also. Food was okay. With my partner and I both being Gluten intolerant. Nobody seemed to understand what it was and we were passed between six different people before we got a half correct answer. Was told at breakfast that the cornflakes were gluten free, which I knew they weren't so made me cautious for the rest of the week. After having a word with the gentleman at reception, we were introduced to Rashid. He was really helpful but it did dwindle towards the end of the week and it seemed more of a hassle for him to tell us. The morning chef, don't know his name, was incredibly rude one morning, so we opted to having coffee in the reception for the last couple of mornings. The entertainment was really awful! We went down the first evening and about turned when we seen the low number of people and cringy attempts the get people to dance. The blonde woman was also talking extremely fast between English and French and it became almost impossible to understand what she was saying. Also would like to point out the tall brown/black haired man was hitting on a number of young girls asking for paracetamol because his head was sore. He'd later walk off to his colleagues and start laughing and pointing. We seen it on more than one occasion and I find it disgusting and disrecptful to the hotel to have staff acting in this way. Overall our stay was okay. However this Riu has not left a lasting impression. More
Sorry very poor
There is no way this is 4 star I would say 3 star but even then food was so poor sorry it had no flavour it was the same most days but would not go back again. We felt unsafe when we went out as well I will keep to Europe from now on. Hotel staff where very nice but that did not help with the food and drinkMore

Holiday with family
We had 2 weeks here and very much enjoyed it. The rooms are reasonably spacious and have a small fridge. We brought our own kettle although they provided one to my son. The facilities are quite widely varied (tennis, badminton, table tennis, boules amongst others) although some of the equipment is rather tired. The bus into the new shopping area is a bonus and it stops within walking distance to the old medina and souks. The food was good. There was always an omelet man (excellent) at breakfast and a pasta man in the evenings (excellent). I asked for his 'special' and it was! There is also an a la carte restaurant. The tables here are strange! I couldn't get my legs under (I'm not particularly tall) so it wasn't very comfortable. Our waiter was Houseine and he always ensured our wine/water/beer glasses were filled. The staff are mostly lovely and good fun. The bar staff in particular have wonderful senses of humour. They were all helpful and friendly. Our only complaint was that they booked us a taxi to take us back to the airport, telling us it would cost 150dhms. When he came he was 30 mins early, let us swelter in the back as no opening windows in the rear and then asked for 300dhms on arrival! He tried reducing it to 200 and then asked for 20 for the luggage! He lost his tip he would have got!! Yes, that was the taxi driver's fault but the hotel booked it.More

Avarage at best
Me and my partner recently stayed for 2 weeks at Riu Tikida Garden. I'll start with the positive things on my review. Hotel lovely, decor and views of the gardens and the sounds of the birds in the morning are fab. Rustic and cultured hotel, maids and cleaners are so lovely. Very friendly and make you feel welcome, thank you for that. Pool very clean and looked after. Unsure about the the whole 'please don't put your towels down before 8.00am thing? When every morning towels are down at 7.00am onwards so it was hard to find a spot to sun bathe around the pool. If you are not up and down you won't have a pool side lounger put it that way. Also the lovely lady who is around the gardens is so friendly and gives you flowers. Such a sweet touch. You will see her with her hat on. What a lovely cute woman. Negatives, wish I could give more positives but I can't 😶. FOOD!!!! Absolutely horrendous! Same same same same repetitive food every single morning and lunch!. Morning breakfast in the main restaurant is the same, now and again you get "bacon" but it's like chewing hard teeth breaking plastic, eggs all snotty. Hey I don't mind a little of that but they literally just fry it for a second and serve it. Pancakes rock hard, not even real Nutella spread, just some cheap jar with every ones knife in it. 🤢 same same same vile boring rubbish. I think your head chef needs more training. We are very confused to why he looked so impressed with the rubbish he served?????. Help me on that one. Tea time food again same old same old, hence why we booked the Moroccan restaurant most days after we had a week in that. Food 1000000 percent 1* with out a doubt. We have friends who live in morocco and who we met up with lots, and we know the food is cheep to buy especially in bulk like a hotel would buy in for all inclusive. Any way every person we spoke to said the same about the food. Also same on 2 of your entertainment staff, bragging about sleeping with customers for money. Very bad. Tall guy who does the pool exercise and Zu Zu? Think that's his name. Watch your staff it's terrible and no secret. People talk and we hear things and see things. Good job you have two female staff and the order lads who are there for the customers to help and give them a good holiday not in a sexual way like that horrible way!!!!..... Never the less if you're looking for a holiday with vile food and dirty entertainment this is the place to go. If your looking for class and nice food I'd avoid at all costs. Regards.More
Green swimming pool and not a 4 or 5 star hotel
Unfortunately nothing great to say about the hotel really accept the staff were nice! Lets start with the biggest problem the outdoor pool was green halfway through my weeks stay which meant you could not swim in it and although they opened the small indoor swimming pool this was now why I went away on holiday. The outdoor showers also packed up and so if you need to cool off the best place was to go back to your room. Rooms ok but the fridge in mine did not work properly something to do with the plug hanging out of the wall I suspect. Finally the food very samey and not very tasty if you do get a chance go to the a la carte restaurant best meal i had in the week I was there.More
