We’ve cherry picked some of western Norway’s top sights for this one. You’ll start the trip by boarding a coach in Andalsnes, a textile and furniture-making village on the cusp of the Romsdalsfjord. As you exit the village, you’ll pass the River Rauma, which is the curvy spine of the Romsdal Valley. The mountains rise to 5,000 foot peaks on either side of this waterway, earning it the title of one of Norway’s most beautiful spots. As you continue your journey, you’ll pass the Troll Wall. This cliff face is one of the tallest vertical rock faces in Europe and scaling it is a badge of honour for climbers all round the world. Moving on, you’ll cross Sogge Bridge and enter Isterdal Valley. The mountains here are named after chess pieces – look out for the King, Queen and Bishop. Further up the valley you’ll get to see Trollstigroad, which is also known as the Path of the Trolls. This road coils its way around the mountainside in a series of 11 hairpin bends. Halfway along, the asphalt crosses over the Stigfoss Waterfall. You’ll be able to get off the coach at this point to take photographs of the 180-metre-tall spout of white water.
