Think of Dublin and a pint of Guinness is probably one of the first images to spring to mind. Locals have been drinking the stuff for years now, and you’ll get an insight into how this famous drink came to be on this tour. It all happens at St James’s Gate Brewery in the heart of the city. This is the birthplace of Guinness, and it’s close to the spot where the creamy stout was first produced over 250 years ago. When you arrive, you’ll get an introduction about the black stuff, before taking a self-guided tour through the making process. You’ll see the machines where the drink is produced, and get the lowdown on the advertising and transport of Guinness around the globe. Best of all, the tour ends in ‘The Gravity’ bar that offers up panoramic views, so you can sample a pint of the brew while you look out over the city.
One pint of Guinness is included.
